Manny Considering Retirement?

Post#1 » by LLcoleJ » Fri Dec 12, 2008 4:05 am

Newsday - Manny Ramirez is growing frustrated about the lack of suitors for his services in free agency and has told friends he would contemplate retirement if a suitable offer doesn't arrive soon, a person close to the situation told Newsday.

The Dodgers offered Ramirez two years and $45 million and then pulled the offer once open free agency began. The Yankees have some interest in Ramirez but are unlikely to pursue him if they land another big starting pitcher.

The Nationals have been viewed as a potential landing site for Ramirez, yet for now, Washington is trying to acquire free agent Mark Teixeira.

Ramirez told a friend that he spends most of his time working out, watching cartoons and playing video games.

We have an offer Manny, take it. ( I know its been pulled, but its there)

Agreed Phil. Dodgers were a completely different team with him. I really hope he re-signs
