OT: Ben Woodside drops 60 in 3OT loss

Post#1 » by LUKE23 » Sat Dec 13, 2008 2:57 am

I know many don't care, but I'm going to post it anyway. My brother is a senior for North Dakota State (Summit Conference). Tonight they played Stephen F. Austin, an extremely athletic team, in the Drake Tournament. Well, they ended up overcoming a 20 point deficit to send the game into OT, then another OT, then another OT. NDSU's starting PG, who actually did have an NBA Scout (chances of getting drafted remote) watch him in this tournament. Well, he ended up dropping 60 (with 30 FTM), with 8 rebounds and 8 assists, which I'm willing to wager is the highest scoring total by a guy this year.

Ridiculous boxscore:

http://scores.espn.go.com/ncb/boxscore?gameId=283472617

I get to watch most of his games online, sucks I couldn't watch this one.

He shot way too much for a PG.

Thats crazy. 35 fta and 32 fga is nuts. To also get 8 and 8 while only having 4 TO's in what must have been an enormous amount of ball handling, that is one hell of a state line. Which one is your brother anyway?

Of course we care. I root for them because of Mike...when they aren't playing (and beating) the Badgers :-?

EDIT: Oh, and that's crazy. The best part isn't even the points, IMO. It's the free throw attempts.

Damn your bro is pretty good too for his league. Shoots good percentages and has size in addition to averaging good rebounding and assist totals for what I am assuming is a college shooting guard. Who is better, you or him? How tall are you also if you don't mind me asking? Also, are you Mr. Hustle? Haha

I could beat him until he was 17 (I'm 7 years older), I couldn't take him anymore after that, although I can still give him a game. He and I are both 6-4.

OK, if we ever have a REALGM basketball game around Milwaukee and I am a captain and get to pick first, I would like to call you my first pick right now. :D IF your bro is around, I call him, haha.

I don't know. I've never met jerrod. I just go by eyewitness accounts and the ones on here who have seen him play say he sucks worse than Ridnour.

It's not my fault. I won't be able to do a lot of stuff for a while.
