The BS that flies out of Vics mouth makes my head hurts at times. He's such a stoner. One of the funniest parts of the Cannons is when they rag on Vic. Like I remember from last years playoffs during the post game. Deron was on the mic. And Vic was part of the media that got to ask him some questions. And when it was Vic's turn to ask the question he just went on and on about nothing. And if you listen to the canons. Vic doesn't ask questions during interviews. He just makes robust almost tantric statements about the person. It was funny because Hartman was killing Vic on how he looked like an idiot on National TV. And Deron didn't know how to respond to VTB's statement because there wasn't a questin. So he gave a cut and paste comment about the game.

By the way. I was listening to the Cannons today when I was driving back to work on lunch. And, apparently Vic gave the Lakers that stupid bamboo thing when we were 7-0 and were facing the Pistons. We all know what has happened since. It is now sitting in the lockerroom somewhere. We should get that thing out of there ASAP. It's cursed.

That's weird, because up here in northern Santa Barbara County once the sun sets, 570 becomes a staticy mess while 710 comes in loud and clear. So this is a Good Thing for us up here. Though 1090 comes in best of all, go figure.

It's kinda sad to see this happen though. 570 has had the Lakers forever, even when they were playing that big band crap and not a sports station. When I lived in OC I made it a point to not miss the 3 hour 45 minute pregames with Larry Burnett.

Absolutely. He's my favorite personality they have.

I know its already been said but just to confirm when John Ireland made the announcement yesterday on 710, he did confirm that Spiro and MT will continue to do the broadcasts. He didn't mention Money but because the deal just went down there may be details that need to be sorted out.

Whatever happens I hope Matt continues to do Lakers Line and be Petros' partner. It started off rocky but their show is the best on 570 right now and I love Matt's Laker analysis...he's smarter than anybody else they've got.

As for MT, I love the guy but I could care less if the cannons get broken up, their show has got worse every year for the past 3 or 4. I'm actually happy Vic and his bamboo won't get the same access to the Lakers anymore.

Hey guys,

I'm a Celtic fan, but I live in the OC and listen to 570 regularly.

This transition will be interesting for a couple of reasons. First, I guess we'll see who really believes ESPN is "The Evil Four Letter Network" and who was just envious the whole time. And second, we'll get to experience Vic's morale totally crushed when his access to the Lakers is denied and he realizes they were only patronizing him, rather than enjoying him.

Should be fun. Though, I hope MT stays with the Cannons, as I cannot imagine that show with only Hartman and Vic. He's the only one who doesn't get too worked up about the Lakers winning (Vic) or losing (Hartman).

yeah, i think this sucks as i like it just the way it is, however, 570 is going downhill and has made horrid decisions of late, like going all nfl on sundays, or especially getting that douchenozzle tony bruno...

it sukks because they seem to have a really good thing going there, the promo guy bob, for example is great...oh well, i dont see how they let the lakers get away from them, and 710, when it comes in, is a joke, its like the usatoday of sports, bland and for the widest market available....

money wasn't an epic failure. he was in the 4-7 slot and is STILL in the 4-7 slot. the only people that hit the road were joe grande and wayne cook, who were both carried by money. neither of those guys knew anything about sports outside of grande's knowledge of local night clubs players frequent and cook's knowledge of ucla football from the 90's. money was the one that connected with petros which eventually led to his addition. as far as 2nd fiddle, i'm not even sure how that is possible on that show. they both feed off of each other. this isn't like the cannons where hartman is the puppet master and vtb and mt are just along for the ride.
