Jannero Pargo an option for the Suns?

Post#1 » by TXSun » Sat Dec 13, 2008 2:08 pm

according to HoopsHype.com "The Suns have interest in Jannero Pargo, but so do teams such as New York, which has a biennial exception to offer. Pargo is playing for Dynamo Moscow in Russia but might be able to leave. The Suns have until Dec. 26 to fill the spot."

with this said, Pargo can mean so much for us right now. I really hope we sign him.

Pargo would be a quality backup. However, it does not look like he wants to play for a winner at the moment. I think he's more about the money right now and what better than to promote himself at NY.

I wouldn't mind Pargo here, especially when we play the Hornets... Not sure if he comes on a limited salary though, there are other teams that can offer more. =(

Does anyone know if Carlos Arroyo is available?

Think we are gearing more towards a distributor than a guy like Pargo...

Didn't Arroyo go euro as well?

I don't think Pargo or other NBA players gone Euro would bother to come back for a vet min. Heck I wouldn't. Those guys get paid better there and are basically showcasing what they can do so that they would get better offers after when they come back.

I think the options are pretty much:
Lue
Atkins
Marbury
Tinsley
or a FA

I really like Atkins, gives us another shooter if we end up trading Barbs for him. Marbury / Tinsley if they become FA's. Lue, but we don't have a trading piece for him.

Actually, Lue + Bell + Villanueva for Tucker + Barbs seems like a solid trade for us..

Also, Ivey + Green + Smith for Barbosa + 2nd ?

Bobby Brown + Douby + Moore for Barbosa

Chris Quinn + Cook + Anthony + Banks for Tucker + Barbs + 2nd

Conley + Warrick for Barbosa + 2nd

If we got Moore I'd contemplate not watching this team anymore. Cannot STAND that guy...

Pargo might look at us - he was teammates with Shaq in LA?

I think the Porter-Marbury relationship might help us, Porter was his backup for two years in MIN...

We need to get Marbury in a Suns jersey again, now that Diaw is gone he can have his number 3 back! For Marbury's career he is averaging 19pts and 7 assists. I think him signing here is a good thing and i think he should just to spite D'Antoni.

I thought for sure Dudley was #4. I didn't see the game, but it said on suns.com that he was #4.

Yeah, 99% sure Dudley is 4. Now, if he switched to 3, that's a whole new story =]

I thought Dudley was 3 also. That's what Al McCoy said on the radio

From what I noticed on my semi-crappy stream, Dudley was wearing number 3 and J-Rich was number 23.
