Why is Yao getting stuffed every game?

Getting stuffed is becoming a common thing for Yao. Why is that? I understand sometimes there's a weak side defender. But then, Yao is under the basket. Shaq would have thunder it in 99% of the time.

think of it this way. Yao (Tall, hardly jumps) and someone about 6'7 (avg height, jumps high). they're about the same. people overrate yaos height too much.

and the fact that its on every nba players checklist to block yao at least once before they retire..

You guys are focusing too much on this. Some of them are clean blocks, however its hard to believe a lot of them are not fouls.

If you watch enough Rocket games you can see how Yao doesn't always get the calls he deserves.

However that's not an excuse, he still gets blocked because he is too content taking the layup shot and most scouts know you can try to block it. If he dunked it, nobody wants a facial and that's what people got from Shaq when they tried to block him.

Every time Yao goes baseline, it's a garunteed block. I'm dead serious, watch for this.

Its not that much of a difference when you look at the inside 12% vs 8%. However DH gets blocked alot when he tries a jumper and however inside he is much better than Yao. Overall what I am saying is, every player gets blocked. You guys just focus on this topic too much.

FYI Ron ARtest is being blocked 24% of the time when he tries to shoot close vs 13% for Yao

Trying using 82games for stats, if you want a better picture.

Yao gets blocked a lot because:

1. He can't jump much.

2. The rim is 10' high whether you're 7'6" or 5'3".

3. Nearly every NBA player can get his hands above the rim.
