He plays way too conservative. Three downs to get a yard. MM = Boring and predictable. Has not really won a big game vs a quality team. Mike Sherman all over again.

Firing Mike McCarthy should have nothing to do with this season, it has a lot more to do with the fact that he is the worst offensive coordinator in the league. For a west coast offense guru, he is a bit of a moron.

They have the 4th highest scoring offense in the NFL. He must be doing something right.

I don't want him fired and think he's a good offensive mind, but the points for total includes 8 non-offensive touchdowns.

one could say the packers have faced some hard luck in losing those last 4 games. but the reality is those last 4 games should have never been close to begin with.

i will agree TT will find a scape goat for this season's losses. he will find some type of excuse and someody to blame - more than likely KGB or somebody he already thew under the bus. of course it won't be Rogers or McCarthy. and Tt will definitely not mention the loss of Favre as the reason for this season's demise. Bubba maybe.

the sad part is that TT is already going into another one of his famous rebuilding modes. it looks like the packers will be spending their top picks on offensive and defensive lineman instead of drafting a franchise RB. how long is Tt going to be in a rebuilding mode? i can't see next year being any better record wise than this year. people will say 2007 was an aberition. and if 2007 was an aberition, then what has TT really done for green bay other than force brett out?

a typical Tt move - when barnett went down, and the play-offs were still a distinct possibility, he looked from within to replace him. When teddy bruski went down, the patriots signed junior Seau immediately. TT's moves backfired , while the patriots made the right move.

I'm sure glad TT has lots of draft picks next year. too bad he's the one drafting the players.

I have no doubt Tt and company will be back next year. and he'll find a scapegoat to blame

People forget but I was a huge MM fan, maybe one of the biggest on this board up until midway through the 2009 season.

I kind of soured on him for bit but he's obviously won me back.

Hey rilamann, no need to explain yourself. You were wrong about McCarthy, but everyone on sports forums have their moments where their evaluation of a coach, player, or GM looks dumb in retrospect after some time goes by.

Hell, i predicted the Bucks would win 50 games this year and while i wasn't excited by the Joe Alexander pick, i wasn't upset by it either and the guy ended up being one of the worst lottery picks ever.

In retrospect, that 6-10 season was the best thing that happened to us.

At the time, that was one of the more disappointing seasons in my lifetime. But the end result was Raji, Matthews, Capers, and a 3-4 defense. Not a bad tradeoff.
