What shotblocking bigs to target for...

Post#1 » by eternalvendetta » Mon Dec 15, 2008 1:00 am

I'm looking to trade either Corey Maggette or Beno Udrih for a shotblocking big. Who should I target?

Would Kendrick Perkins be a decent guy to target for Udrih?

For Maggette, who can I go for?

Thanks.

IMO you're better off dropping Udrih and picking up Chris Andersen of the Nuggets if he's available.
The guy goes of for 3-5 blocks every night.

That's a pretty interesting idea and something I'll definitely consider; thanks.

Other notable shotblockers available include Ronny Turiaf, Bargnani, and Jamario Moon. I forgot to mention before that my FG% is kind of crummy, so if possible I'd want to avoid a guy that'd hurt that (like Bargnani recently).

Although the thing about Turiaf is you never know if he'll play due to the Nellie factor, Moon is starting now for the Raps and he'd give you a solid amount of steals and blocks but he's quite the chucker at times.

Bargnani is just awful so stay away.

Don't bother with Turiaf for the exact reason akaFlips just said... His minutes are juggled around more than a hooker's breasts.

Picking up Andersen is your best bet.

I did exactly that 4 games ago, and have not been disappointed. He is singlehandedly resurrecting my team through his blocks.

You could try a buy-low on Sam Dalembert.
