2 Wiretap: McHale spoke; Wolves to against coachless Kings

Timberwolves' coach Kevin McHale believes that his players need to undergo a "mind shift".

"The X's and O's are easy," McHale said of re-working the team's offense. "I can draw up all kinds of stuff. It's getting the guys to play a little bit faster and (with) a little bit more pace. That takes a little bit of time."

He isn't trying to create a run-and-gun offense necessarily, though, when he mentions speeding up the team's offense.

"When you talk about faster, I'm not going to say fast-break points," McHale said. "I'm talking getting the ball to Al (Jefferson) and our main cogs with 16, 17 seconds on the shot clock as opposed to seven or eight. It's not coming down and jack it. It's getting in to your main people earlier."

well, so, if ppl are saying that McHale lost 4 in a row because we are against playoff teams, here's a game tonight that he should be able to win for the wolves, the coachless Kings~

on the side note, Blake Ahearn was cut by the Spurs, also on wiretap, in case anyone cares

I saw the SAC firing, and I'm wondering if, in NBA history, there have been two newer coaches facing each other? McHale will have four games under his belt in his current incarnation, and the King's interim coach will have zero. Four total?

Watch the Kings respond and blow us out.

o dont jinx us..............
I still think we have a chance to layout a blowout on the kings tonight, Al gotta rebound from last night's horrible shooting avg, hard to imagine him shooting that bad in two consecutive night......so....
and dont give McCants any minutes, he's a cancer, i don care if he can score or not, let Miller/Carney/Gomes share the times on the wings
