I'll say it once and I'll say it again: I think the author is overstating things, but the article was hilarious!

^^^^ Touche!

Look, I hate the Lakers as much as anyone here. However, I still think they're an excellent team. Looking forward to beating them in the Finals again!

They are excellent, but soft. I've said it before, you don't just decide to be tough, you either are or y'ain't...

Even Lakers posters coming to discuss with us say they are!

Yeah I'd like to see them bust somebody's ass once a night...........just to say " it ain't that easy "..............know what I'm saying.

But maybe that's just me.............I'm old school.

Since when is Serbia some nice place for a kid to grow up though? There's a reason people called Darko a "Serbian Gangster", those boys from the balkans are almost always tough as nails. Dodging rpg rounds and playing soccer in a field with landmines tends to do that to you.
That's what they get for building a stadium on the ocean: Oil can Boyd, after a fogout in cleveland

I don't think you're old school for feeling that way, I think you're a REAL basketball fan for feeling that way. I have to say I am surprised that even the LA media seems to be turning on the Lakers as far as calling them softies. Maybe it's a case of the players bought into their press earlier in the season and are lolling around on D again? I don't know, I don't watch them every night the way you guys do in LA...what's the deal?

I think it's starting to become a self-fulfilling prophecy. The Lakers had trouble against us because they had no center last year. That is not softness, that's a missing bulldozer. So we were better on the boards, what gives? The finals have been evenly fought until Game 4, where we crushed them for 24 minutes and broke their back.

I think right now we are overvalued but the Lakers have take care of themselves and their image. They have to understand what's going on. If they're not going to do this, I think they will lose to the Spurs in the playoffs.

Interesting read on the Lakers losing focus and looking ahead to the Christmas game with the C's:

Also, that pic of Marbury...HIDEOUS head tat...that alone should make no team want him!

I agree with just about everything you said except the last line about the Spurs, but I understand your logic behind the idea of if. Simply put we have owned the Spurs in our history with them. They have mental issues against us at playoff time.

I grew up watching ball from the 70's and 80's and by those standards then every team today is soft.

I am a Lakers fan and found this article hilarious and to some extent echo's my view about the team as well .. and yes this article has been locked out of some of the Lakers boards dont know why, Censorship for this article is BS and uncalled for...

Some of the people are taking the stabbing incident mentioned in the article too seriously, lighten up guys or if you can't as it isn't in ur DNA then Move to LA or Listen to Song "California Dreaming" like i do living in Toronto..

Waiting eagerly for the Christmas game ..

Return to Boston Celtics
