That clever Danny, throwing all the other GMs that are making a move for Walker off the scent so that we can get him cheap, brilliant!

I heard the same crap said about Ray Allen's defense before he came over to the C's. I think he's an alright defender and is amazing at multiple other things. I could even see him handling the ball a bit instead of Tony and Eddie while with the 2nd unit.

Because at least Ray Allen would be bringing in one hell of an offensive game with him. The guy's giving us 50% shooting overall this year as a perimeter player while being lights out from long range. Antoine, who should be a post player, would be giving us about 35% shooting overall on a nice chucker's 30% 3pt%. He'd hurt this team on both ends of the court and does not fit this team at all. Scal, despite being loads less talented than Antoine, is a better fit.

That last line is classic doublespeak. It reminds me of when the Democrats say "we know raising taxes will kill the economy, but it's the right thing to do"
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

Ray Allen nowadays has amazing overall skills. He is an outstanding shooter, an above average passer and slasher, an average defender. But most of all he doesn´t need the ball to contribute.

Toine in his prime was an above average rebounder and handler for his size, a below average shooter and a poor defender. But he needed the ball all night long to be effective.

The 2008/2009 Celtics are a fast paced, sharpshooting, all defense, team.

Walker can't play in this team.

LOL, I agree. I might be off my rocker, but I think Walker would be a great compliment to Tony and Eddie. Also he would provide more consistency then Baby has shown.

Walker wouldn't fit this team as well as other vets that may get bought out soon....namely Joe Smith.

Scal's a better fit at the very least for the sole fact that he's willing to sit on the pine for 48 minutes and not complain. We use him when he can provide a somewhat decent matchup off the bench or in case of injury with the first unit, which he plays well with. As for Antoine, he's always had a bit of a big head, literally and figuratively.

Do you honestly think Antoine thinks he's in his prime? He played limited minutes with Minny and not at all with Memphis.

...Now before you say he didn't get minutes with them then why should he get it here I'll answer you. He'd get minutes with us because we have a veteran team. The other two had young teams who were developing players like Al Jefferson, Craig Smith and Darrell Arthur.

If he forced himself to post up, take the occasional jump shot, and looked to pass first especially when playing with the first unit, I'd say bring him in. He's got the talent to do that, I just don't think he has the mentality. I see him chucking away with the second unit, because he wouldn't want to defer the ball to a bunch of lesser players and for that Powe and his relentless attacking of the basket is better at the 4 with the second unit.
