Kevin Ollie

Post#1 » by the_bruce » Wed Dec 17, 2008 6:39 pm

Does anyone else hate when this guy gets time on the court? It's not even that he is a bad ball player, or that I think the minutes should go elsewhere. I just hate the fact he passes up open looks constantly. I'd rather have anyone else out there. He seems like a nice down to earth guy and really likeable, probably good for chemistry too, but isn't that what maddog is for? Lets get a few dleaguers up in here!

I like Ollie. I think he is a good 10-15 minute player. Good attitude, decent D (i think everyone overrates his D though) and he's a veteran. My only issue is we have Foye, Telfair and Ollie at PG and they usually all get burn every game. We dont need 3 different PG's getting burn every game.

I think he is put in there and told to just get it to the big man.

I don't mind having Ollie out there. He doesn't make a lot of mistakes and he doesn't take shots unless he needs to. He understands that there are better shooters on the team that should be taking the shots instead of him. The reason Ollie gets burn every game is because Telfair is usually outmatched on the defensive end against opposing guards cause he's too small. Plus Telfair still has some maturing to do as a PG. I still think Telfair needs to earn his minutes this year.

Vaudeville is cool. He plays hard and tries to put out a veteran presence. There are times when Foye starts losing his handle at the position or Telfair gets too overzealous. Vaudeville comes in and cleans that up a bit.

Yeah, Ollie is a good veteran player. Telfair needs to learn from Kevin Ollie.

If you replaced Ollie with Telfair in the original post I would agree.

Ollie is pretty much crapping all over this topic right now.

He;s being very aggressive tonight. First time in any of the 15 games he's played in this season.

I like Telfair better. I can't understand why McHale doesn't play Telfair more.

Probably the fact that Telfair can't hit a shot to save his life this season.

Larry Brown loves the guy, and there are many possible trades with CHA. Brown has to believe he'd be a terrific mentor to Augustine. If Felton is traded, he becomes even more valuable in CHA. Slide him into a deal with CHA as incentive.
