I concur. I think Payton tried to do the same. Remember the report after the trade of him not even wanting to come to Boston. Then he'd changed his tune and suddenly was open to returning to Boston around the time when Boston was interested in Cassell or a veteran point guard. Everyone knows he'd followed Shaquille twice in an effort to win a ring. Personally, I'm not a fan of a NBA player that's blatant like that.

I still say Marbury will end up on a western conference team.

I was just wondering...is it detrimental to one's carreer to clash with Isiah Thomas?

It only makes sense that Danny would be interested in Marbury... because this team has notta one complete scorer coming off the bench. House does it outside but is limited taking the ball to the basket... Tony is great taking it to the basket but can't shoot outside, plus the refs give him no respect on his drives lately... Powe takes advantage of mistmatches well but fails to make an offensive impact against good interior defense/rebounding teams... Scal, Davis....

Doc was just on WEEI and said that the Celtics don't need another point guard. He did, however, say that they were interested in Mutombo, but thinks he will sign elsewhere and is not sure that Mutombo's lack of offensive skills would fit into the Celtics scheme. Does he mean like Perkins' offensive skills? :)

Imagine our record if we had those two professionals on this team.

If you seriously think there's any comparison between Marbury and Antoine besides the fact they are both black men who play basketball, then you're nuts....
It's still 17 to 11!!!!
