I've always wondering what would have happened if Stan didn't run off to the Magic after Donovan pulled out of his deal. Would we still have Artest on the team? Would we be rebuilding or going for the playoffs?

To those who would rather us go in the direction of JVG and be more like the Spurs it wont work. Our roster does not fit the mold of running a half court offense, and playing great D. Our team is set up as more of a run and gun. We lose close games in the end because the game slows down and we cannot execute in a half court setting ad we cannot tighten up on defense because we do not have the personel for that type of system. You can hope we become the Spurs all you want but until we get playmakers (manu, parker) and a dominant post player on offense and def (Duncan) it ain't gonna happen. You gotta go with the style your players are built for. We have a lot of speed and youth so we need to find a coach that can make the best out of that.
Just say no to JVG! I am on the Natt bandwagon for now.

I wish more teams in the NBA would try a deeper rotation(especially like us when you have no clear cut star) and go with a pressing/trapping type defense. Run players fewer minutes, but have them go ALL out during those minutes. Also, Petrie has shown he can find talent, there's only one LeBron, one Paul, one Pierce etc. Since we do not have one of the top 5 dominant players in the league, why not go the quantity of talent route that we currently have and run and gun on offense and press/trap on defense trying to wear the opposition out by the 4th quarter.

The Maloofs would have had to pay a lot more to show him the door!
