+1 - when a player hits everything like b-roy tonight there is not much you can do against, and when the ref´s give them calls like they get you have to be happy to stay in the game.
let´s wait ´til 09 and we´ll see where this team goes..

Props to the great one

I can't believe how many posts I've read in here about how the refs are the reason you lost the game. I was going to say how great a game that was tonight and how impressed I was with your bench and especially Matt Barnes. The guy has a lot of skill and he is perfect for your team. From a Blazers point of view I was griping about calls just the same so its not any reason for you guys to lose that game. Blame Roy. He is the F******** Man......Oh and make sure and vote for him for the All-Star game...He really deserves it...Laters.....

Why exactly? Barbosa playing back up point was like a +17 for the game. It was the starters that killed us.

This game shows us that the need for a backup PG may not be as a great as we thought.

Not really. Our starters simply got tired playing the entire quarter and they gave up the lead during that stretch. And guess what coach kept those guys in the game to start the 4th.

This was the 1st game where missing Raja cost us. One of the reasons we'd always pwn the Blazers was cuz Raja always did a good job limiting Roy's production, no more Raja on him and Roy has a career game.

Those fuggin TO's gotta go down QUICK!
16 TO's to 6 is inexcusable.

Lets face it, as awesome as this team plays, we're just always going to get beat by that superstar guy on each team that somehow gets 20 freethrow attempts a game against us. Whether its Parker, Kobe, Roy, Wade, D-Will, Chris Paul, Devon Harris, Rando etc etc. I think we can handle the bigs of the league, but we can't we can't stop that style of play. Granted, few teams can; but the ones that win championships do.

Unless that big is Dirk though.

Portland shot a grand total of 1 more FT than the Suns did

Phoenix had a grand total of 2 more fouls called against them.

Face it guys, this one is not on the refs.

Good luck this season. I think you have the makings of a really good playoff team. The way you can score quick and also be able to throw it intop Shaq is gonna be really hard to stop.

Portland out rebounded Phoenix, had more steals, had less TO's, had more blocked shots, had more fast break points and had more team rebounds. Those are the reasons Portland won. Not the fact that they shot 1 more FT.

Gotta blame the players for this loss. They gave the Blazers 15 more shot attempts than what the Suns had. The entire Blazers team had as many turnovers as Nash did alone.

If I never have to see either Nash or Hill just standing there acting all put out after turning the ball over while the other team fast breaks down the court by them it will be too soon.

I would like to see a chart a with every current NBA players career high in scoring and rebounding. I bet a bunch came against the Suns during the last 5 years.

The Hypnotoad wrote:What a crock of **** loss. I'd say they got lucky by making nearly every freaking shot they took. But it seems every team makes every shot they take against us. And i'd say it was just a bad night with the refs. But every night we get disrespected by the refs. And i'd say Porter just didn't have a clue on who to play. But every night he has no clue on who to play.

So screw it. Please just shut that woman up.

so that means it was luck that ya'll where even that close because i believe you guys shot a better % all game.. RIGHT??

We lost because our key guys couldn't take care of the damn ball and our defense was sh*t as usual. Refs were pretty horrible tonight, a lot of no-calls against the Blazers, just as there were a lot of no-calls against the Suns. Pretty even imo. Nash had a terribly off game, hopefully he bounces back in the next game. Our subs played excellent today, especially Barnes and Barbs, they should've gotten way more time since Nash was choking it up the whole game. Amare played almost as well as he could with 22/8/8. In the end, it came down to our careless TO's.

Give credit to Roy for keeping their team alive the whole game, also to Blake for holding it down during the middle of the game and also Outlaw for helping Roy out with the scoring in the 4th.

Honestly any Suns fans that blame the refs for this loss should watch the game again. I remember there was a foul called on Barbs when he played excellent D on Outlaw, but just as well, Oden was called for a pushing foul when Shaq did a fair bit of acting. The calls were bad, but they went both ways.
