I've never been that interested in hockey, the last time i even payed a little attention(still not much at all) was in the early 90's when the Blackhawks were good... This team has got my attention big time... The team got a new fan in me now, im interested to see how good they actually are... I find myself turning them on more and more, then the other day i watched most of the 3rd period and they won 9-2, i was like wow...

So i'll be checkin them out tonight on WGN soon and the bulls game goes off

Go Hawks!!!

Is Vancouver good??? I still really dont know anythin about Hockey....

Can someone explain to me whats offsides and icing???

It's good to see more Blackhawks fans. And this team is really good, they have a young nucleus of great players and a demanding coach in Joel Quenville.

Vancouver, like Calgary, should be another tough road game because they are both fighting for the 3rd spot in the standings like the Blackhawks.

Offsides is when a player goes into the offensive zone before the puck enters that zone. Icing is when a team hits a puck to the opposite end of the rink. It's illegal because if a team is winning they could just dump the puck out of their defensive zone every time so the other team does not have a chance to score. During power plays this rule does not apply.

I'm in shock. This team continues to amaze me every game. I really thought we were gonna lose both these games this weekend...thought there would be a letdown for sure.

Never felt so good to be dead wrong.

And give it up for Huet. He has been nothing short of sensational the past couple weeks. He singlehandily won that game tonight.

That 3rd period was one of the most nerve-racking periods of hockey I've watched this season. The Canucks put the pedal to the metal and didn't let up one bit. Huet was great, absolutely great.

It may just be me...but this team might actually be pretty damn good, eh?

You're right about the 3rd period. I almost threw a shoe at Duncan Keith when he took that bonehead delay of game penalty.

And I was screaming for that last Hawks PP to be over already cause we were playing much worse 5-4 than we were 5-5 as dumb as that sounds.

Yeah, this team is pretty damn good. As in, a lot closer to the Detroits and San Joses than they are to the Anaheims, Vancouvers and Minnesotas of the world.

All of a sudden the Blackhawks are only 5 points within Detroit (sucks) for second place. With the way the Hawks are playing it's very possible they could pass them in the standings.

How great would it be if they take over first at the Winter Classic?

It's unfortunate the Blackhawks blew their two games against Detroit already. The Blackhawks totally dominated the game at Detroit but they let them come back in the game. There is a game I think on the 30th at Detroit also. Hopefully we can get some revenge before the WC.

Yeah, we go back to back vs Detroit next week. If you look at our schedule its pretty ridiculous..nothing but hard games for the next few weeks.

Return to Chicago Blackhawks
