Green Bay Packers @ Chicago Bears

Post#1 » by MadCityBucky » Sat Dec 20, 2008 11:34 pm

Hopefully this game is nothing like last years game in Chicago. That was one ugly game.

The last win the Packers had was against the Bears, a game in which the team looked like they had finally turned it around (with a great all around performance) after some heartbreaking losses and was ready to go on a roll but then...well we all know the story

If Minny wins on Sunday this game means nothing to the Bears. In that case I wouldn't mind a loss to help our draft position. If Minny loses though we will knock the Bears out of the playoffs with a win. I'd love that. I don't like that either one of them will be in the playoffs but it's always good to be the eliminator.

Why do I feel the Bears are about five times more motivated for this game than us?

Why do I feel like the cold weather is not an advantage for this team at all?

Woodson is moving back to CB, Williams to the bench, Rouse starting.

Brandon Jackson isn't playing, Wynn is the backup.

My main interest is going to be seeing how Rodgers handles his first time playing in bitter cold weather

Glad to see Rouse is finally 100%.

Rouse was healed awhile ago , he's just been benched the past couple of weeks. Rouse did an interview a couple of days ago and was asked why he hasn't been playing. He said he had no idea and you'd have to ask the coach. He was pissed. He said he has been 100% healthy and was confused as to why he didn't even play one down last week.

Is he that dumb that he can't figure out why?

How am I not surprised that the Wisconsinites are in a tanking mood? Where's that new-found Bucks' spirit?

In all seriousness, I'm beyond dumbfounded how the Packers folded like they did. That defense is too talented to be this bad. I won't be surprised at all if the Packers win tomorrow night. Everything went right for the Bears this weekend in both the division and the Wild Card sense. It would be so like this team to fall apart with an opportunity like this.

Anywho, best of luck, kids, and see you on the Bucks board.

I think it is not only for GB draft pick purposes, but also the fact that the Vikings are FAR MORE hated than the Bears (for me it's nowhere resembling close, and I think most Packer fans are in the same boat).

Yeah, I think you're seeing that trend switch on this end of things, too, although not in the Rockford area where I currently am. Lots of Packer fans here to fight with the Bears fans. But it's been a good 8-9 years since the Packers and the Bears were both good in the same season (2001? I think both teams were in the playoffs that season), and that hurts rivalries. But, this rivalry is still one of the best in sports, just think it's gotten a little bit classier nowadays.

I hate the Vikes far more than the Bears. Do you Bear fans feel the same? The Vikings are just sooo, gay. I grew up pitying the Bears so maybe that's the issue. Nevertheless there's history involved with the Bears and Packers. The Vikes and Lions are just irrelevant.

I would say most Bears fans tend to hate the Vikings more than the Packers, but still are not fans of the Packers because of the history these two have. I would say that Packers fans hate the Vikings more than the Bears do, that's for sure.

Heh, I don't really hate the Vikings that much anymore. I love watching Adrian Peterson, maybe that has something to do with it. I hate the Bears MUCH more than I hate Minnesota. It didn't use to be like that, but the two years they won the division after our run ended basically began my hatred for that team. The Bears were about as neutral as teams came before 2005. Then the bandwagon fans jumped on and for the first time in my life as a Packers fan, people were talking trash to me because they were going to the playoffs while we were 4-12. It only got worse when they went to the Super Bowl the next year. I can't tolerate that crap anymore.

I hate that damn song, I hate many of the meathead fans, and I hate that damn team. I'd much rather have Minnesota win the division than Chicago, which is why I hope we finish their season off tomorrow.
