Who is the best American Born player right now??

Modano is on his last strides, still doing well but hes not the best right now? Who has taken over the throne?

Kessel?
Kane?
Parise?
Drury?
Miller?

just to name a few

What's so laughable about having Kessel in the list?

Kane, leader in points. Followed by parise. Then Kessel. Kessel is probably the hottest right now though.

What I really am excited about is, its good to see some really talented young americans playing some damn good hockey.

Kessel is a stud. . . a flat out stud.

Kane probably the best, Parise. . .man, i would love to watch him play with the caliber of teammates/linemates that Kessel and Kane have.

Why? Because he is the most clutch out of all of those players. In a game 7, I want Chris Drury on my team.

Kessell is having a nice stretch - but he is in no way, shape or form the best American in the world right now. If you have a choice between Kane, Parise, Drury and Kessell, who are you going to take? Honestly.

The question is right now. And since Julien benched him that one game in the montreal series, Kessel has been one of the hottest american players. He is tough as nails, what other player on that list came back from cancer?

Is he number 1? no, I have Kane in that slot. What he's done in his short playing time is amazing. But to laugh at the fact of kessel being put on the list of best american players right now is ridiculous.

Ya maybe if we were talking about who we'd take in a playoff series, but if we are talking about who are the best players CURRENTLY, Kane/Parise/Kessel are all better then Chris Drury.

Kessel is better then Drury Currently and this trend will continue going forward.

Who's the best right now?

Zach Parise is. He's got the most points out of the bunch while playing on the most offensively challenged team of the 3, doesnt have nearly the same quality of powerplay and is a better defensive player right now then Kane.

This is why I hate argument's like this right now crap. Who cares. I don't give a crap who the best American is right now. I want the guy who will lead me to the cup and Chris Drury has proven that. He is the best out of the bunch because of that. Until those other players prove what Drury has done in the playoffs, then the discussion is done.

Are you kidding me? So your going to pick Drury whos going to be a FAR less impactfull player then the other three in the regular season because of what he "might" do in the playoffs? This is some messed up logic.

Since when is Drury going to lead you to a cup? Please dont tell me you think he was the heart of that Avs team that won the cup. How come he couldnt get the Sabres to the finals when they won the presidents trophy and home ice all thruout the playoffs?

The question is "Whos the best player right now" not who the best american playoff performer is. Hey, lets look how great Chris Drury has been in his last 2 playoffs.....

Hes not even close to a point per game lately. Sure he might score some big goals but he hasnt really been a impact player in the playoffs for awhile.

Kane, Parise and Kessel are all better players then Chris Drury RIGHT NOW. Is Drury a more proven better playoff performer? Yes but that wasnt even close to the original question.
