As for the story, I don't buy it for a second. Stevenson's minutes have gone down five straight games, with yesterday being a season low. I find it highly dubious that he would pick this time to ask for a benching. That said though, come next season, Stevenson will be here and Tap will not, so if we've got to make one look bad, might as well be the latter.

Dame right I have line ups. Finally they are the ones we get to watch. Something I never saw when EFJ was here.

I think starting DMAC in

AB, AJ, DMAC, CB, James

or DSONG

AB, DSONG, AJ, CB, James

are the better line ups. One gets you better D with pretty level headed players. The second gets you better D and more scoring and better passing. I'd be happy watching either.

NY can do what he does off the bench and it puts less pressure on him.

But either way I finally get my wish of CB at SG but the later gets both moved with AJ at SF which is were I want them when GA and Haywood return.

Haywood, AB, AJ, CB, GA is the goal.

I think we hit rock bottom like 3 games ago and we are on our way back up. The wins will start to come now and so will some break out games for younger players.

First of all, do you really think the wins are going to "start to come now" based on benching Stevenson and playing the younger players now? If you do, give me some of what you are smokin'. Second of all, why the heck would we want to start winning more games? There is not a chance in hell that this team is going to make the playoffs this year. The last thing we want to do is win enough games to reduce our chance of getting a top 5 pick.

I want to see the youngins play so the Wizards can learn who is part of their future. That is all. I have no grand illusions that the Wizards are going to be a better team from playing the younger guys more. If you do, you are just setting yourself up to be disappointed.

First off, I am always willing to share.

I am an optimist but I am also a realist.

Second, yeah, I think we will win more then we have and play better ball. How many wins is hard to tell. We have a nasty schedule ahead of us. But I'm actually looking forward to watching them play more then I have all season. It's hard to tell where the critical mass may be. I believe this change is the right move and it will help. How much, I couldn't say. We are still thin at center so in order for anything amazing to happen, it would take McGee figuring out how to defend without his arms straight up ( which I have started to see ) so he can get more court time and so he is a reliable sub for AB at center instead of only having DSONG who is a forward. Now that would be asking for a lot to happen very quickly but then again, I never thought James would be this good this quickly so I'm won't believe it isn't possible. McGee has gotten a lot of court time already and he is a quick learner. All we would need from him is a good 10-15 min of solid center play against the 2nd center.

But this is a Nasty schedule coming up. Capitol N. Thats 5 of the top 6 teams in the next 8 games.

Tue, Dec 23 @ Charlotte
Thu, Dec 25 @ Cleveland
Sat, Dec 27 Oklahoma City
Mon, Dec 29 @ Houston
Tue, Dec 30 @ New Orleans
Fri, Jan 2 @ Boston
Sun, Jan 4 Cleveland
Tue, Jan 6 @ Orlando

Anything more then 2-6 would be considered over achieving, we would be 6-27 but playing better more entertaining ball at least. Ping pong balls would be safe at this point. Every loss is critical right now for the ping pong people because after this the schedule gets a lot easier.

But the ping pong ball is threshold .346. So that means if we go 2-6 against that schedule above then we can't be better then 22-27 .457% the rest of the season if we want any PP balls and that is something that is still doable given the remaining schedule and the talent this team has which is coming together. That would be as good as Phili or MIL. That is not a stretch the way I see it.

Currently to make the playoffs you have to be .481 or better.
We would need to go 35-22 to get there. That's .622 ball or as good as Portland, ATL, Denver so that would have a historical come back worthy of a bullets fever jingle.

After we go 2-6 over these next games we would need to final out 33-16 or .682 ball which is as good as New Orleans who is the 5th best in the league. If that happens, we get a jingle and a statue of either Tapps and EG or of EFJ and DS with a sword going threw there heads.

But it's never over till the fat lady sings.

I think DeShawn needs to give a Lou Gehrig-type speech at the next home game to mark the end of his consecutive-start streak.

If DeShawn really did approach the coach then that was a stand-up thing to do.
much respect to the 2011-2012 champions, Miami Heat, well deserved
