Help for big al

being a big t wolves fan i hate to seeing big al do it all by himself. we need wing to get to the basket and get about 18points a game.. only way we will have a chance to make the playoffs in the west is by going out to the free agent market or via trade to try to do something.. lets stop siting back and watching our draft picks become stars (roy and mayo) .. i feel once we do this more players would love to play in minn from the talent on the floor

I thought you had a sweet trade scenario in the works. Imagine my disappointment.

Help for Al you say. Harden and Thabeet should do the job. Find some way to dump Telfair and Mccants for nothing, draft a PG late first, and do whatever we can to end up with:

PG: Foye/late 1st
SG: Harden/Miller/Brewer
SF:Brewer/Gomes/Miller
PF:Al/Love/Craig
C:Thabeet/Pekovic/Al

This lineup has a great future and it really REALLY takes care of our current extreme defensive liabilities. Thabeet will be ThaBEAST in the middle, Brewer and Harden with be really nice perimeter defenders. This is basically a pipedream but this lineup, to me, has a nice balance of offense and defense. Just get it done FO.

The best reason to draft Thabeet is that you know they'll play "We've Got the Beat" by the Go-Gos everytime he scores.

In fact, with Thabeet, Jefferson and Love, our entire frontline would be pretty musical.

Good thing he's not known for his offense. :wink:

I REALLY REALLY want a Harden/Thabeet draft. I don't know if it is possible for us to move up to get ThaBeast but we should do everything we can to try. If Harden pans out, he could quiet a lot of the Roy/Mayo talk. Thabeet/Jefferson/Love could just kick ***.

Your draft may be more reckless but it's probably more realistic.

all I can say is The Man came down hard on me again with his censors and bureaucratic mumbo jumbo.
I tried to fight it, but it was like 1984 all over again. Remember when they had that rat-cage hooked up to that guys eyes and they were gonna eat his eyes out so he cracked under pressure? Same situation.

And damnit Devilz, I'm working. Now I'm tempted to watch 1984 at work, you know how much trouble you're going to get me in? I mean I suppose I could just not watch it and wait til I get home, but that's garbage.

This is getting OT but there is a MOVIE for 1984!!!! I read that book last year and it blew my freaking mind.

Back on topic, devilz, if we were to get curry/harden what would your plan be for our team?
Would you want it to be:
PG: Curry
SG: Foye
SF: Brewer
PF: Love
C: Al
Sixth Man: Miller

I could settle for this aside from the fact that we'd be undersized at basically every position.

Harden/Thabeet or nothing. We need to end up with that draft. WE NEED IT. Thabeet/Peks (when he comes over) and Jefferson/Love leaves is with the 5 and 4 pretty much locked.

Curry has the pedigree, the out side shot, the assists, doubling rose's numbers from last year, one of the most mature guys out of the draft, clutch, fast quicker than advertised, smart high BB IQ.

I'm not saving spots for any of the holdovers. If we have end up having a starting quality backup, then we'll have something in common with a good team instead of the bad news bears for a change.

I don't want any part of Curry. He might turn out fine, but we need athletes. Tall athletes.

Dude it would be cool to have that 7'3" center he can move around good and that size dont come around much. curry is a 6'3" pg thats good size I think he is the player that steps in and leads club a very exciting player that turns target center around quickly.

Curry might have decent size for point guard, but he's not great athlete and he won't be a good defender in the NBA. You can't put Curry, Love and Jefferson on the court at the same time and expect to not get destroyed defensively.

Thats just it, I cant believe the planed to have Love & Jefferon on the court together in the first place there too short together, there isn't a point guard on the planet that can change that. Look here what Ive seen of Jefferson is he likes to get the ball in the same place and is very predictable very good but very predictable now his defense is a lil flat footed and slow, hey we all have asset's and liabilities. Curry comes from a BB family is comfortable on the Court his numbers a twice that of Rose's last year assists arent that easy in college. Talk about size Rubio looks like he might break in half and Hardin is scarry. What are your thoughts Worm Guts have you an idea of what it might look like thu your eyes? thanks bro

Curry doesn't exactly play in the ACC, either though. Stats don't me crap in college. A couple years running there was a guy from VMI leading the country in scoring at 30+ a game. Why is that important? It's not because he never played in the NBA.

Curry will be a nice rotation player until he puts some muscle on his body. No team in the league is going to just give him the ball and let him chuck at will.
