Steph Curry is so sick, I love that little hop step tight behind the back move he does.

As far as this proposed in thread deal lol...Again this won't happen because of the salaries. BTW Deng thinks he's worth max money.

Solves the problems Tex is worried about with Kobe in his career. Gives us somebody legit to put on Pierce and to make Pierce have to play some real D. Also is a huge upgrade at the point.

Do you even follow the Lakers?

Are you saying trade Lamar, Ariza, Sasha, Farmar (am I leaving anyone out) for Deng and Hinrich?
Are you saying bring Sun and Koby (who is not even on the team anymore) off the bench? You just traded our entire bench, a big part of the reason the Lakers are as good as they are, and replaced them with Sun and Koby Karl. Do you realize what you just said?

Isn't this what you offered us for Kobe about a year ago? Credibility and trust is low.

Replace Odom with Radman and consider it done. I want to see Hinrich stay healthy before I give you Odom.

I changed the thread name so it doesn't have to be locked or merged. Just careful not to turn this into an all out trade thread.

As for Deng/Hinrich... talent wise yeah, but salary not so sure. I mean, hell, yeah if Buss is down then go for it! I also think it would force our hand with Ariza.

With the lack of an "insider," this thread reads like a circle jerk.

Wallace has had like 3 really bad ones in the last few years... he might already have concussion syndrome, but I've heard them say he's only another concussion away too. Weird for a b-ball player.

Weird, indeed.

Well, in that case, who else is available on the remaining teams on our little list?

wallace has suffered 4 concussions during his time with the bobcats. he's also had numerous injuries. if there was an injury prone all star team, he'd be battling for a starting gig with caron butler. his last concussion had the bobcats' medical staff consulting with the panthers' staff.

Making Battier out of Radmanovic is just about impossible unless they were just that desperate to add a PG like Farmar.

You may find a team willing to give a two year miserable player for Radmanovic though. That's what I'm working to find right now.

i think battier is pure pipe dream. he's on a west contender, not a team looking to rebuild. he's the best answer that team has to stop kobe. he solves a big weakness the lakers have themselves. they have no pressing need for odom, since they have a better starting pf in scola. the money doesn't match up well either since makes like half what odom makes. he's still part of the rockets future since artest is a free agent at the end of the season.

Could always trade for Artest? Just a thought...

farmar and vlad for stephen jackson works

some have said that vlad is perfect for their system, and jackson wouldn't mind a trade
but i don't know if the warriors go for that, especially with farmar hurt

ID#4887838
vlad and powell for jackson also works, but i like what powell brings to the table

Again returning to the primary topic at hand. All of these trades are available and some fantastic fits are available. The question should be is Jerry Buss willing?

Kupchak has to somehow manufacture a trade to get that SF/PF. At the end of the day what I see happening is the Odom saga ends and he's traded for Shawn Marion who is currently outplaying Odom at PF so even if he can't work at SF we lose little. It's the best long-term strategy since it allows us to avoid long-term commitment, it makes us much stronger in the starting lineup and we can cover holes in the front court (if there are any at that).

That would be by far my strongest prediction.

You know something interesting I noticed:

- There isn't a single team that will give Shawn Marion a major contract this summer.
- There's a good chance that with his declining value you can sign him for 8-9m or so the same we were hoping to do with Lamar.

He's really just a great fit. Trading for him allows you to put your best four players out on the floor at the same time unlike what we have right now.

Pointless deal financially. They're both on long term contracts, and while Hinrich is an upgrade defensively Deng has played so bad I would question whoever still thinks he still has value, especially after the recent extension.

NO , what the hell has Deng and Kirk EVER done on a consistent basis in this league. Deng is just about as inconsistent as LO, just without the "I lost my brain" moments LO has every 5 games or so.

How about we just take Joakim Noah and three-way hinrich or deng to someone else for a sf that can shoot the 3 and play man defense (*cough* battier/Garcia *cough*). Hinrich would be an upgrade but I'm concerned with our whole defensive scheme... adding a defensive f/c like Noah and a lock down defender like Battier would be the best upgrade possible. Plus I think Hinrich is being seriously overrated here and something is wrong with Deng, he looks like damaged goods.

Hmmm interesting... I know what EE will say, but I'm intrigued. This would also allow us to sign Lue or Pargo and still have a roster spot for a guy like Mourning too.

I mean Hinrich is overrated on the defensive end of the floor... offensively he slaughters any pg we have.
