The Only Important Games Left

Post#1 » by Cyclical » Wed Dec 24, 2008 9:22 pm

When you're this good there's not much to mark on the calender. The following are the only important games left this season IMO. Not many. Only 13 by my count - all Thu-Sun games. These are all teams we could see either in the ECF semis, ECF finals or NBA finals. Atlanta is definitely a top-4 team and extremely dangerous. I didn't include NO since I don't believe they have a chance. A healthy Spurs team does however.

Thu 12/25 @ LA Lakers

Fri 01/09 @ Cleveland
Thu 01/22 @ Orlando
Fri 01/30 @ Detroit

Thu 02/05 vs LA Lakers
Sun 02/08 vs San Antonio

Sun 03/01 vs Detroit
Fri 03/06 vs Cleveland
Sun 03/08 vs Orlando
Fri 03/20 @ San Antonio
Fri 03/27 @ Atlanta

Fri 04/03 vs Atlanta
Sun 04/12 @ Cleveland

With all this dominance my worst fear is a 07-08 Patriots syndrome. Perfection leading to unexpected collapse when it counts. I hope we can sustain.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Festive Festivus to everyone.

13 real games left, and a bunch of pick up games. Seriously, the NBA needs to do some contracting, because there are too many mediocre teams. The 86 team had a lot more competition and got 67 wins, this 09 team should get 70.

Look at all the 50 win teams, and the teams in the 30s. Obviously some of those changed since last year, like detroit, but some of those changed for the better too, like portland.

I mean, those 30 win bulls made the playoffs, dude.

Every game is important, regardless of the opponent. Home court advantage is huge, and every game counts.

I agree. This thread sucks. Every game is equally as important, and that's why this team is so good: THEY think that way.
