Knicks give: Eddy Curry and Malik Rose
Knicks get: Boris Diaw, Raja Bell, Brian Cardinal, and Boston's 1st
Bobcats give: Boris Diaw, Raja Bell, and Raymond Felton
Bobcats get: Eddy Curry, Malik Rose, Kevin Ollie, and Utah's 1st
Wolves give: Brian Cardinal, Kevin Ollie, and Utah and Boston's 1st round picks.
Wolves get: Raymond Felton
Why for the Knicks: D'Antoni brings in 2 guys who were very successful under him. Brian Cardinal's contract next year isn't a concern because it expires before 2010, and he can do what Malik Rose does(nothing). Costs them $3mil this year, and $5.2mil next year, but it saves them $2.2mil in 2010, thus the $6mil difference is a huge increase in talent, a full roster, and room to make sure they can bring in 2 max contracts in 2010.
C - Harrington/Lee
PF - Diaw/Thomas
SF - Chandler/Gallinari
SG - Bell/Richardson
PG - Duhon/Robinson/Roberson
Why for the Bobcats: Curry liked playing for Brown, and now Charlotte has a center that can move Emeka back to his more natural position of PF. They also move some unhappy players and balance their roster. Brown wanted Ollie in training camp, now he has him to mentor DJ. Clears $4.5mil salary next year. Leaves them room to bring someone in for $8mil next year, probably a shooting guard.
C - Curry/Ajinca/Mohammed
PF - Okafor/Howard/May
SF - Wallace/Rose
SG - Carroll/Morrison
PG - Augustin/Ollie
Why for the Wolves: McHale wants a combo guard to fill out the 3 guard rotation with Miller and Foye, Felton could do that. Felton could also probably use a change of scenary. Saves the Wolves $3mil this year and gives them a chance to see Felton and if he's worth signing as a RFA. If they don't re-sign Felton it saves them $6.7mil next year, allowing them to easily bring in a solid free agent like Marvin Williams around $10-12mil per, and still have enough room to sign someone to a max contract in 2010. 2 1st round picks make up for the money saved.
C - Jefferson/Collins/Booth
PF - Love/Smith
SF - Gomes/Carney/(Brewer)
SG - Miller/McCants
PG - Foye/Felton/Telfair
Specifically for the Wolves I like it because honestly we're not going to use all of our draft picks anyways, and it clears Cardinal's contract saving us money this year and next year, allowing us to maybe bring in Marvin Williams and be more attractive to the 2010 class.
2009 roster
C - Thabeet/Love
PF - Jefferson/Smith
SF - Williams/Gomes
SG - Miller/Brewer
PG - Foye/Felton

Re: Wolves/Bobcats/Knicks
I read the article that suggested the trade, and I have to say I'm skeptical that CHA would take Curry, but Larry Brown does things I don't always understand, and sometimes he makes them work .. for a while. So I'm going to set aside my views on CHA here, but I suspect that its the NYK paper fibbing again.
I like how you have us getting in the door by using Ollie. Larry Brown wanted to pick him up if we didn't make him an offer after the pre-season, and he probably covets him even more right now. If Felton was going out, that would further increase his value to Brown, as a veteran back-up and mentor to DJ Augustine.
However, I think the Knicks would try to cut us out of the deal. They are exchanging Felton for the right to the buy the BOS 1st for taking Cardinal for a year. I think this makes the deal fairer on their side for what they really should pay for moving Curry, though. Its an improvement on the rumor.

I like Felton, and i like losing Cards, but are those two changes worth losing both of our late 1st round picks? Not really IMO. Though i wouldnt blow a gasket if it happened.
I personally think Nasty Nate or David Lee would have to be packaged along with Curry to move him anywhere.
