The only good thing that came out of this is the Brewers now have a 2nd round pick instead of a 1st round pick for CC Sabathia.

Actually it hasn't gone up much if any. Abreu, Giambi, Mussina, Pavano, Pettitte, and Farnsworth are all coming off the books.

Yup. They cleared 88 mil and have spent about 62. If they're content with last yrs payroll they could even go after a DH bat. Add in Pettite and Swisher and they will be around 75.

The Cubs do not have any interest in Manny. He would be asking for 20+ million per year and he is best suited for left field.

I think Dunn is the best available option, but also considering his cost I think the Cubs are leaning towards Bradley then Abreu.

I thought you guys needed a left handed lead off hitter? Bradley is available.

The Giants signed Randy Johnson. What is Hendry planning on doing?

1 year 8 mil for the Big Unit. Hendry hasn't done anything to improve this team this offseason

I don't care for not getting Johnson, he is more of a number 4 type pitcher now and he has lost a lot of velocity on his fastball. But Hendry has done nothing to improve this club. So far we've lost Kerry Wood for Kevin Gregg.

The Cubs are on paper worse right now.

Agree. I hope that we're waiting for the market to come back a bit after the Yankees signings. I still think we're likely to sign Bradley and Dunn will be our fall back option.

I think the Cubs will sign Bradley and add a bullpen arm. Then mid-season the Cubs will find a good offer for Peavy (like the Harden trade was).

Is it only me or can you guys not stand watching Aaron Gray? Every time I see him in the starting lineup I get pissed off. Just looking at his dumb face makes me raged.

The whole Bulls team pisses me off except Rose and Gordon. Even Vinny does. I hate his constant blank confused face as he says nothing while the real coaches (Del Harris and Bickerstaff) do the work.

Look, we're all having rough seasons with our basketball teams. I mean, the Celtics lost two games in a row a few days ago. These are dark times.

Went to the Bulls game and sat a couple seat away from Bob Love. The first play of the game was an Aaron Gray foul, I yelled out, "Its alright, its alright, he's got 5 more where that came from!"

All I could hear was this big belly laugh, coming from Love. I'm pretty proud I made Bob Love laugh at a Bulls game.

So yea.. thats what I think of Aaron Gray.
