Sorry this isn't a flashy game thread, but I figured someone should post something. It was either "Christmas Is Ruined" or "Christmas Day Massacre." Maybe I should have gone with the latter since a couple of you guys will be thrilled to see us taking one more step towards lottery heaven. I'm all for securing a high draft pick, but it is going to be painful to take this beating from the Queen on Christmas night on TNT no less.

-The Wizards were supposed to wear their regular road blues tonight but had to switch to their whites after the Cavs decided to go with their alternate blues. The reason? They needed to match the uniforms to LeBron's special edition Nike "chalk" sneakers so the Cavs had to send someone to Washington to retrieve the Wizards whites. Why? That is why he's King James I guess.....

Then we can go back to regular tanking like we have been intending. All the games have been completely winnable. The fact we throw the games in a convincing fashion is awesome. Is it denial? Possibly..That's why i'm scouting the draft picks to see what it is thats causing us to not want to make the playoffs. The talk is Blake Griffin but I'm not thouroughly convinced it's about him alone.
It will be left to be seen that Gil and Haywood when they come back, won't do it in time to give up that draft pick we are looking for.

But lets not tank this game. We can tank others.

Kenny Smith and Barkely called the Wizards a "scrub team" at halftime, citing their 4-22 record. The Wizards seem to playing with a bit more energy coming out in the 2nd half.

Me too. Someone should tell him that when you're the worst player on one of the worst teams in the league, you don't get to make the hand-face gestures that frankly make you look like a jackass even during the best of times. Especially when the gesture is preceded by a play where you had your jumper blocked and followed by a play where you made a lazy, stupid pass that lead to an easy bucket on the other end (after which, I might add, he decided it'd be better to sulk for a bit rather than sprint down to the other side in an attempt to play some defense, despite being the guy closest to the half court line).

I'm sure our bench will find a to blow this, but I don't blame Tap for not playing McGee or Crit. We need to try to steal this one or at least make it close. It's Cleveland and it's national TV. That's the only reason.
