Block Buster Trade Proposal

Post#1 » by djyodream » Wed Dec 24, 2008 9:20 pm

I don't post very much on any of the forums, but I've been watching the Rockets and Suns lately and think that both teams could benefit from a trade involving T-MAC and Steve Nash. I checked the trade on Trade Checker and it goes through fine (http://www.realgm.com/src_checktrade.ph ... id=4887834). It's T-MAC and Rafer Alston for Steve Nash and J-Rich. It certainly benefits both teams, but what do the good people of Phoenix think about such a trade happening?

How does it benefit either team?

Yao's a half court player. Nash isn't, so there's a problem right there

I haven't even started drinking yet, I guess I could start.

Let's see,

Steve Nash >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Rafer Alston

and call me crazy but I would take J-Rich and his 70-82 games played per year over T-mac and his 40 games played per year.

Man, if you would've waited to propose this trade on Christmas it would make more sense to me, even than i don't know if Santa would be that generous

We wouldn't even think about it a second time. Who the hell is Rafer Alston? Steve Nash is clearly better, and like ClosAZ said, I don't care if TMAC is better than J-RICH, I prefer having a mediocre star play for 70 Games for me than a "superstar" play 40. I'd rather take 20-4-4 for 70 games every season than take 26-6-6 for 80 games every 2 seasons.

True, all good points. I actually thought about the problem of the Yao's halfcourt vs Nash's fast paced run and gun, but still, I know T-MAC is a good friend of O'Neal's and a lineup of Amare, T-MAC, and Shaq just sounds so formidable. For the Rockets, J-Rich gives you a constant scorer who isn't a ball demander like T-MAC to put up stats, it would give Yao a reliable second scorer.

why such proposal? Wanna throw Grant Hill or Barbosa in there too? Sorry, but it doesn't even make any sense any way I look at it.

wow some of you guys are clearly (Please Use More Appropriate Word), why wouldnt this trade make sense? Its not like nash and jrich doing anything good for the suns right now. so why not try out rafer and tmac, who is CLEARLY winning more games than Suns, oh yeah and why the hell would rockets want an aging point guard and a used up "mediocre" star. Btw They just got owned by the Spurs today  . i love all the suns fans standing up thinking they won hahaha ! well merry christmas

BNT1120 - Consider this a public warning for trolling because this isn't the first time you've come on the Suns forum talking crap

Don't come on the forum calling Suns fans "(Please Use More Appropriate Word)" and saying we're "standing up thinking they won" - when nobody has

how is that called trolling? i stated my opinion just like how you guys stated that nash > rafer. Also the same reason why you guys called the trade a (Please Use More Appropriate Word) idea. Just because the Suns keep losing doesn't mean you have to lose your ethics. K thx.

Nobody in here dissed the original poster nor Rockets fans, two things which you've done in your post.

BNT, if you want to compare Nash to Rafer, then lets compare Tim Duncan to Charlie Villanueva. Oh and while we're at it, let's also say that LeBron James and Gerald Green are at the same level, you know, just for **** and giggles. ***

Don't bite
cheers

It was just a trade idea to shake up both teams guys, nothing to get all argumentative about. But thanks for your opinion guys, didn't mean to start anything!

Oh yeah, CLEARLY Suns fans are (Please Use More Appropriate Word). I mean why wouldn't we want a player that plays 40 games a year and a head case, attitude PG. Oh, and let's go ahead and over stack the 3 spot, cuz we don't have enough of those already.....Give me a break

No one could possibly be dumb enough to think that trading Nash for Alston would be an improvement, so anyone who says that has to be clearly trolling. You're obviously just trying to rile people up.

McGrady may be the most overrated player in the league and he is past his prime.
