Diaw up 26pts tomorrow like the Stock Market

Post#1 » by Amen316 » Sat Dec 20, 2008 4:32 am

If any of you have Stocks you know the pain of watching a stock look like it is going to begin to flourish,...only for the next day for it to come crashing back down.

Todays Stock that many people will buy thinking it is going to be great!!!!!

Boris Diaw scored 26 pts on 11-13 shooting with 10 rebounds. Now I know most of you are going to say OMG why did we let him go, but guaranteed tomorrow nite he will score less than 10 pts and literally spend all nite partying for what he did earlier.

I smell a bailout!!

I doubt he has a bad game tomorrow, he def looks legit in Charlotte and I expect him to keep it up.

Good for him, but he wasn't gonna be able to be that good with us anymore playing behind Amare and Shaq (just like Odom can't play to his full potential anymore now that he's behind Gasol/Bynum), he's better off next to a guy like Okafor.
J-Rich has been pretty good for us too so far, and we got very good value in return for Boris/Raja, so it could very well be a win/win trade...

Side note : Raja also locked down OJ Mayo, and the Cats recorded the highest FG% performance of any team so far this season.

Don't mind him playing well. He was never going to do it here (consistently), pretty obvious, so hopefully he earns his paycheck for a change.

Im not surprised at all. I knew this would be a good trade for both teams. I thought this would give Diaw the opportunity he needs to play the 4. Hes a good player, and will be a solid player for the cats. I will say this, he has been very solid so far.

First game 7 pts, 9 rebs and 5 ast, 1 blk
Second 25 pts, 3 rebs, and 3 ast
third 15 pts, 7 rebs, 4 ast, 2 blks
fourth 26 pts, 10 rebs, 3 ast. He was also 4-4 from 3.

Bell is the surprise. He sucks.

That's not a surprise...at least not for me. I knew he sucked and was going to suck big time without Nash spoon feeding him his 3's.

Charlotte doesn't have a primary scorer or dominant ball handler, it's kind of hard not to get a lot of scoring opportunities. Regardless, he's putting up meaningless points on a team headed nowhere. I think he's playing well because he gets to be the focus of the offense again, like he did when Amare was injured.

Diaw is good, it's just that the ball has to go through him for him to be effective and with Nash and Amare that wasn't going to happen here.
I hope he keeps putting up big numbers in Charlotte.

@amen - why would diaw end up with less than 10?

most posters here who know me will say that i was boris' biggest fan here and there was a reason - boris is legit

he has fantastic footwork, great post moves and an instinct for the game that you cant teach

if he gets a full season in a system that makes him a focal point then i expect 5+ triple doubles, and borderline allstar like numbers

boris would never had done that behind shaq and amare- im glad to see him freed

He shot 37-39% on threes in Philly, Dallas and Utah, so I don't think he "sucks" as a shooter.

he scored 11 my bad!

Look No Phx fan has a problem with his assist, rebounds etc. However, it does not matter that he has alot of go to moves in the paint. He just passes way too many times on a shot while at the rim, To a person that is 20 ft away.
Drove me nuts!!
I just dont believe he understands the concept of playing the highest pct shot always.....
