I think cuban and Stephon marbury are waiting on NY

Earlier the mavs made public that they are "very interested" in marbury. I think that the mavs are waiting for the knicks to buy out marbury so they they can get him for essentially a bag of chips. He already said he wants to play for a team in texas. Knowing that he has a good relationship with cuban and they are on good terms I think we have a fair chance of getting him before the deadline.

Jermiane oneal has been reportedly put on the trade block(completely insane in my opinion).If we can steal him from TOR for Jho+stack+cash for JO+filler we would be pretty dominant.

We can sign Marbury when he gets bought out before the trade deadline.

AND

We can trade for JO+filler for Stack + Jho + 2009 pick + cash

Look at a front line of...

PG Kidd/JJ/
SG Marbury/JET/Green
SF DG/Singleton
PF Nowitzky/Bass
C JO/Damp/Diop

we would be scary....

I would do it but without giving Toronto our pick. Toronto's pick needs to be coming our way for us taking the often injured ONeal and giving them Howard. I would go Oneal+Toronto's 2009 or 2010 pick + filler for Howard+filler.

As far as Marbury goes I would definetly give him a chance here for a veteran minimum contract. I would hope that he could be like VanExel was when he was here. VanExel was considered disgruntled and a cancer before he came to Dallas. VanExel became a leader here and the toughest player on the team.

Agree with BLKMN22.

Why on earth would we give a pick and cash when we give the best player in the deal? Personally, I have no interest in JO-JHo based swap unless it is that trade that I keep mentioning with Charlotte:

Here is th only way I want JO.

Dallas gets Wallace + O'neal + Moon
Toronto gets Howard + George + Mohammad
Charlotte gets Stack + Diop + Bass + Toronto pick

Dallas lineup
O'neal - Dampier
Nowitzki - Singleton
Wallace - Moon - Williams
Wright - Terry - Green
Kidd - Barea

Long time creeper. First time poster.
Huge mavs fan, and I would never want our starting SF to be DG..

I dislike the OP's lineup, but I really like JES's lineup.

Marbury in the Mavs would be great for us however, especially since he would be trying to prove himself to the Knicks, and to the NBA world.
