Battle of the Heavy-weights: OKC @ WAS

Post#1 » by miller31time » Sat Dec 27, 2008 7:19 pm

Time: Tonight at 7:00pm (EST)
Place: The VC
TV: Every high-profile media outlet will carry this game...or maybe just CSNHD
Chat: http://www.chatmaker.net/chatap/rooms/RealGMWizards/

Starting Lineup - YOUR Washington Wizards (4-23)

pg: Mike James
sg: Caron Butler
sf: Dominic McGuire
pf: Antawn Jamison
c : Andray Blatche

Starting Lineup - Oklahoma City Thunder (3-27....oh my god....)

pg: Russell Westbrook
sg: Desmond Mason
sf: Kevin Durant (DC native)
pf: Jeff Green (Georgetown Product)
c : Joe Smith (UMD Product)

Clash of the titans happens tonight -- be there.

On a serious note, this might just be the lowest-attended and least-watched game in NBA history.

The Tank Bowl: Battle for the Number 1 Pick.

Whoever loses gains a step toward glory. (or hopefully does).

GO WIZ! Make the 2007-2008 Heat proud out there. TANK!

We must make up ground in the standings by losing.

This is a must lose game.

MUST LOSE! Not only would this help us in the lottery standings big time, but it would tie our current eight game losing streak into the inevitable five game losing streak that will follow this one (seriously, check the schedule), creating a league-worst FOURTEEN game losing steak! Shoot for the stars, I say.

Wow, this is a big game. Butler needs to come out extra sucky for this one and Twan really needs to utilize his long range contested jumpshots. With Desuck getting big minutes, I see us pulling out a close loss, which should move us more closer to the #1 sucky spot.

Durant is actually a DC native. Regardless though I think we win this game, possibly even win big.

This is the start of a 5 game winning streak.

The Wizards will be front page news in a week and the talk of the NBA. Barkley and Kenny will be eating their words which are already pasted on every Wizards locker.

You heard it here first :)

13-2 over the next 15 games 17-25 by Jan 22nd. .404% and just 2 slots out of the 8th spot.

From worst start ever to biggest turnaround ever.

GA starts talking about his return but they aren't sure what to do since they are so
hot without him. NY and Dixon are getting it done off the bench. McGee is playing a solid workman like 10 mins a game. DMAC gets votes for all defensive team.

Hey, we are talking about the Wizards here. We aren't going to just loose out the rest of the year. There will be some drama.

I'm treating the viewing of this game as some sort of hair-shirt-penance for holiday overindulgence (if St. John the Baptist wore a cilice, and St. John's is a great basketball school in the Big East, and Jeff Green (a Georgetown product) plays for the Thunder, then clearly i'm right. Right?)

I'm actually fairly excited to see Jeff Green and Durant, and considering I'd basically have no other reason to watch the Thunder (finally, the Wizards no longer have the worst unis and team name in the league!) this should be decent. And by decent I mean terrible.

Wizards basketball! Feel the excitement!

Buck reports CB has sprained ankle from CLE game.

Game time decission.

God, what would the line up be without him. Please not DS back to start.

IF DS starts, then Taps is a moron. Just move Dmac to SF and put Young in.

I'm definitely interested in this game. There's some ping pong balls at stake tonite. I also want to see future Wizard Kevin Durant (I hope). My dream is the Wizards land the #1 pick and ship DeBrick & the pick to OKC for Durant so OKC can draft their homegrown star in Blake Griffin.

Dude, let me get some of what your smoking, that must be some good ish!

I'd bet serious money (and I'm not much of a gambler) that the Wizards go closer to 2-13 the next 15 games than the other way around. This team will be hard pressed to win 20 this year.

I'd reckon they'll even probably lose tonite with Caron not playing.

The most winnable game all month, and our best player happens to be out? I'm sure it's just a coincidence.

That was a fun first quarter. How about first team to 130 wins!

Wow, Wilcox stinks. He's never improved since his rookie year. Doesn't defend. All he does is dunk.

That has got to be some of the ole' defense between both teams I've seen in a long time. No weak side help, nobody taking chargers. Players only looking for highlight plays. And by the way. Why is Robert Swift in the league and does he think he's tougher with all those tats?
