Well as long as Deng and Gooden are out, he's going to get his minutes. He's production won't be consistent, but overall he will give you those hard to find stats (steals and blocks). With Noah fallen out of favour, I think he's worth a spot, unless you're in a small league.

Bulls fan and a Ty Thomas fan here...

Honestly, its hard to say. I've been a fan of him and have had high hopes. The numbers he puts up is not surprising to the Ty Thomas fans. But, its the inconsistency that phases you. That said, I had him early on in the year and considered dropping him. His value over all other players in deep league is that few players who are ranked similarily to him in Fantasy can give his steals and blocks (per game). Thats where his value is highest. If your team needs that, I'd keep him for those reasons alone. He will give you those defensive numbers even in limited minutes.

He is currently putting up one of the better/consistent stretch of games in his career. Unfortunately thats only about 5 games or so. We should forget the past which included a horrible coaching staff (re: minutes management), and his rookie year. That said, if he continues this he will become a permanent fixture in the Bulls rotation and play +/- 30 mpg.

High Risk, High Reward. But the reward IMO is a fantasy gold mine for a guy who can be picked up off waivers.

With him is all about playing and getting minutes. He'll become productive with more minutes. If your desperate for steals and blocks he's worth a pickup.

Yeah...with consistent minutes, Tyrus should be a decent player. He's still a fantasy tease IMO...can put some awesome line on any given night, but then stink for others. Best to be patient with him if you can.
