Just curious about the little guy

So it looks like Earl Boykins wanted to come back and see family for the holidays and his team Virtus Bologna said no, he left to the US anyways and is now going to be cut from the team and could be looking for a team in the NBA again. What are your thoughts on him? Would he be more suitable then Dragic and Brown?

I've never watched him that closely, but to me he has the same shortcoming in his playmaking ability...correct me if I'm wrong, but that's the impression I get and if that's true then we would just have 3 redundant players from best to worst: LB, 5'5", DBrown. Plus he's so short I would just cringe every time he took anything other than a wide open shot...

Not what we need. We need someone who can pass and defend, Boykins does neither.

I'm telling you guys, I never liked him in the past, but from what I've seen, Keyon Dooling could really help this team. Same goes for Earl Watson...pity his contract sucks...Marko Jaric would be REALLY SOLID if bought out by Memphis...

Noway, he playmaking ability is nonexistant and as rsavaj pointed out...he is a major chucker. I would have liked to see Jason williams come in here. He can make plays and has Championship experience. Whatever happened to that guy?

He'd have been nice. So Tucker's been assigned to the D League, does that mean Brown's going to get some PT?

Yeah, dunno if it was officially medical but he was about to play then just suddenly retired.

Yeah, Brown will get all of Alando's minutes :roll:

Seriously though, TP will probably give him a shot just like he did with Dragic and Singletary to see if he pans out.

Boykins is crap. He's basically used as a spark off the bench and a ballhandler by most teams, but other than chucking 3's and dribbling the ball up, the guy has no playmaking abilities nor does he has the size to be a decent defender either. If we wanted someone as a secondary ball handler when Nash is off and use Hill as our PG, then we could just use Dragic or LB. Otherwise we'd go look for a proper PG.

I really wish J-Will wouldn't have retired. He would have done great here. I just dont think the Suns have any interest in signing another known name player for the rest of the year. And I think we also may be done trading for the year.

Marko Jaric FTW!! Adriana's goods > Eva's goods... at least we'll beat them at something. Jaric is a guy we could really use. With our experienced squad, he'll be a perfect addition. Good on the ball defender who can pick up other positions. I have a hunch that his 3 point percentage will go up on this team as well with all the open looks.

I agree about the comments on Boykins, he chucks, he's crap, and doesn't do much else.

Yeah Boykins is basically just a shot chucker, the Suns need a pass first pg more than a scorer.
