I'm not overlooking the rest of the West its been proven that any team can beat any team (i.e. GWS and DAL) I say the teams we need to be on guard for is the Spurs.

Lakers
__________
Spurs
_________
Rockets
Hornets
Jazz
______________
Trail Blazers
Nuggets
Suns
Mavericks
_________

This is how I view the west as of now.

Lakers are head and shoulders over all the Western teams. Next best team is the Rockets but that is just on paper-- T MAC is more about hype then play. 3/4. Would be Spurs and Suns IMO they are both vets and the Spurs are well Coached but no bench. Suns got talent but bench their is thin as well.

Hornets and Jazz are in the same class w/ the edge to the Jazz but I don't think they have the third scoring option to make them a contender. Hornets same thing no third scorer--funny as it sounds they miss Bonzi Wells.

Nuggetts, Blazers, Mavericks on the same playing field w/ Dallas the best of the three, The Blazers just too young and the Nuggetts I think lack something. I think it is Melo he is not the big time star that can carry them in a series.
