lol at the heat board, they mad. They still dont get how wade went to sleep on the 4th with LBJ on him, this what led to the cavs win. They even want Wade to play more, when their coach has said it already that Wade is only effective when he plays 36-40 minutes.
u mad?

I have to take exception to that last line. Spoelstra's noted that Wade is most effective at around 36MPG. Certainly he isn't "only effective" at 36-40 minutes, as that would be ludicrous. But the biggest problem I have with Spoelstra is that he doesn't adjust his rotations enough depending on the game. With Lebron playing the entire 2nd half iirc, he really should have let Wade stay in too. One game here or there won't make a difference. Wade'll still make his averages, but from game to game we should be flexible. I'm sure that'll begin to change as Spoelstra gains more experience as a Head Coach.

I suppose it's just a misunderstanding in wording then. Specifically, Spoelstra has stated that "I'd like to keep Dwyane's minutes to around 36 to 38 as long as we possibly can. I think that's where he's most efficient, most explosive for his body type. I think you can get the most out of him from there."
You said that "their coach has said it already that Wade is only effective when he plays 36-40 minutes." I only intended to make the point that Spoelstra never stated that DWade's only effective when he plays 36-40MPG, but rather that he is at his "most efficient, most explosive for his body type" at 36-38MPG.

I have to give my props to the Heat. They played much better than I would have expected. The Cavs scares me sometimes... But nothing better to witness than to be down 9 in the 4th and end up winning by 7. We were very sloppy for the first 3 quarters.. Unforced turnovers, missed open shots, and a lackluster effort from everyone except LeBron. Everything changed in the 4th though.. LeBron played great defense on Wade. Mo, Big Ben, and Andy were huge.. I just noticed that if Wallace can average 30+ minutes per game, he would grab 10+ boards a night to go along with a couple of blocked shots.. It's not worth the risk if he gets injured.. We need him for the playoffs. But in other words, we cannot play like this against teams like Boston or Orlando. They wouldn't give up a 9 point lead in the 4th.. Let's hope the next game on LeBron's 24th birthday would be a different speculation.

Not to discredit Lebron's defense, I just honestly don't believe it was Lebron who caused Wade's decrease in production in the 4th (and Wade did hit 2 jumpers in the 4th). Instead, it was the double teams by Varejao which got the ball out of Wade's hands and into the hands of other Heat players, who in turn came up empty.
Funny I posted on the Heat board almost the same thing: It was not just Lebron on Wade, they doubled to get the ball out of his hands and that was the major difference in the game. That and Delonte played like a mad man on defense, he was all over the place in the 4th Q. He made what I thought was the biggest play of the game, with the steal and pass to Lebron for the monster dunk. I was at the game and the momentum shifted big time right there.
As for the calls, I don't think Heat fans should EVER complain again after the 2005 championship. There were at least 4 really bad calls against the Cavs last night, I don't recall thinking the Cavs got the benefit on any calls (and I am one of those who thinks Lebron was NOT fouled by Jamison in the Wizards game). Didn't get a good look at the play where Delonte fell out of bounds, it was opposite side and they didn't show the replay.
In the 4th the reason we shot more free throws was because we attacked the rim more and half the fouls were on breakaways after we stole the ball.

Actually, this might end up being the problem. Lebron celebrating his 24th birthday, in Miami....eh I could see him not having a great game. Hopefully he drags Wade down with him

The epic Wade vs. Lebron match-up tomorrow turns into a complete flub because of tonight.

I would at least hope they wait until after the game. They dont have another game until Jan 2 afterall.
