Hello friends. On the Bucks board, it appears that a very reliable source has posted this trade as about to happen:

Milwaukee sends Charlie Villanueva and Tyronn Lue to Houston for Carl Landry and either Luther Head or Brent Barry
Houston then sends Tyronn Lue to Lakers for Chris Mihm

I think I'm interpreting that right.

I rather have Pargo than Lue...

Post#42 » by redoctober9 » Sun Dec 28, 2008 6:58 am

Hi fellow lakers fans...tnx for responding to my questions if we need help for the PG spots. Now we got names floated out there...Tyrone Lue, former LA shock trooper whom Phil uses to control AI in the 2001 finals and he did acquit well matching AI's speed and his ability to put speed in the Lakers offense. Jannero Pargo, still a former Lakers back up who blossoms last season with the hornets but was overshadowed by pride and hunger for money that he opts to play in russia. Marcus Williams, journeyman who has the skills to be a pure pg. Earl Boykins, the little general who can light up the scoreboard but then his height will be a disadvantage and so on and so on. Well if you asked me who i may choose if im in Mitch shoes ill go for Pargo. Yeah Jannero is too hot to handle and that pride that he has is too big but knowing Phil I guess he can carve the horns on Jannero's head. Jannero knows the triangle as with Lue but he is more offensive minded than Tyrone and he knows how to lead a unit if he wants to he perfectly fits well with the Lakers second unit and is more than what Farmar is to the 2nd unit. I guess Phil would love to have Pargo play again for him. My second choice will be Stephon Marbury but I need not push for it lest ill be thrown out by this board. I hope Mitch can sign up Jannero as soon as possible...

I'd personally would rather have Pargo than Lue too..but it would take a lot more to get Pargo than Lue..Pargo would probably want a 3 to 5 year contract with us, or else he'll stay in Russia. And the Lakers simply won't give him that contract, because of our core players (Kobe, Gasol, Bynum) already put us over the lux tax. Lue we can get for way cheaper.

Has anyone actually seen LUE play this year? If so is he even decent? (especially quickness, since Fisher has problems guarding PGs whos age isnt above 34) If he isn't necessary all that decent, than I don't see why the Lakers should do it. Jordan is missing 8 weeks, can't the Lakers survive on getting a PG whos quick and plays decent defense for a minimum in that time period? Cause after Farmar comes back I doubt if LUE if traded to the Lakers would get any playing time whatsoever, espeically come playoff time.

If Pargo's exile to Russia hasn't brought down his demands then he can stay over their. As for Lue I read his agent has called the Lakers' but I think Mitch is working on an even better opition and that Lue if traded for will be the third or fourth option on the wish list.

What would be a better option than Lue or Pargo the player who will take Farmars place is going to eventually lose playing time when Farmar gets back. You can't expect a player any better than Lue Or Pargo.

If we should get Pargo, we'd see Farmar having to work and play hard to keep his PT once he gets back. I like that type of healthy competition. Farmar seems to thrive with the knife on his throat.

We should make a move before something happens to Fisher. I don't like the amount of minutes he has to play when Farmar is out. Especially not at this stage of the season. What if something would happen to him? Good luck to us trying to trade — 29 GMs will have us by the nuts in any trade discussion.

Make a move, make it now. Have some foresight, Mitch. Take preventative measures by adding a PG. Lue, Pargo, I don't care. Fisher shouldn't play 40 minutes a night in December. It's a risky and foolish strategy. Unless there's a great opportunity lurking round the corner that's worth waiting for, make a move now!

Do it, Mitch!

we could have gone after steve francis...atleast hes a less of a headcase than marbury
but marbury is actually trying to prove point when he comes back to play for a different team, and honestly, i think he's gona be above average, especially on a decent team like the warriors, cavs, bucks, blazers, and possible even the lakers
