Good luck in the game tomorrow guys. Mike James has really been ballin lately. I just hope he doesn't go off on his former team. Is Nick Young getting any major playing time?

Reality is, we just got 2-0, we are going for 3-0

That's a lot closer to the truth. We beat Cleveland in Cleveland - First team to do that all season, then we took care of a very talented but last place team.

Houston is banged up so this give us a good chance. We may end up seeing some McGee on Yao who will be seeing his second action against him. I'm not saying McGee is ready or that he will shut him down but he should be able to give us a few good minutes against him. Anything he can give will help. This is as deep and as stable as we have been all season with Etan and Dixon getting in the line up last game. James has settled into his role as PG. DS played a workman like games last game and wasn't a liability. Now if CB can come back and just play that filler role he is so good at playing, I think we can take the next step.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/co ... 01691.html

We have Blatche, Etan, Mcgee, AJ and DSong to throw at Yao and their other post players with a newly confident DMAC to guard whoever we sick him on. Get Yao in foul trouble and they will be greatly limited. Blatche should pull him out and try to drive by him. Or, we should run them since they have bad wheels and we have enough fresh legs to do it with James, Dixon, Young and DS at guard.

These guys have not played that tough of a schedule. I think they are ripe for the picking.

Wizards have long struggled against the Rockets, losing seven straight overall in the series and 13 of their last 14 at Houston. A Rockets win Monday would give the team a series sweep for the fourth straight season.

Mike James to visit his old teams back to back. Not that it is unlikely to happen again.

THAT ISN'T GOING TO HAPPEN. WE ARE GOING TO TAKE THEM.

And in celebration of our victory. Meet the Rockettes. BYOTP :)

Bulter is expected to play. I assume that means start as well.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/co ... 01727.html

"Butler participated in practice yesterday and is expected to play if the ankle responds well after the morning shoot-around."

WIZARDS STARTERS

Andray Blatche C
Antawn Jamison PF
Dominic McGuire SF
Caron Butler SG
Mike James, PG

Hopefully CB will take it a little easy and play that glue role he is so good at playing. Maybe nail a 3 or a 15 footer if open. He is playing SG so maybe he can spot up and let James do the ball handling drive stuff.

Then when NY comes in he needs to focus on playing team ball. None of this spazo NY crap where he thinks he is on the HS blacktop. If not, roll on over the Dixon. Should be interesting to see when DS comes in with CB starting at SG and since NY started last game. I just hope they find enough mins in the game to get Dixon some run.

We may even want to go a little twin towers on YM with AB and McGee together. Or pound him with AB and Etan. Etan and DSong would be more pounding but they just don't have enough height.

We just beat OKC at home, so of course we have a good chance of beating Houston on the road.

Wow, the rockets board is all over McGrady.

viewtopic.php?f=16&t=865958

Some of you guys must not watch much or read much.

We aren't tanking. Not yet at least and if I recall correctly, we pretty much beat
Cleveland in Cleveland ( robbed by the refs for Lebrons shoe showcase and so he wasn't embarrassed on national TV ) and they are the 3rd best team in the league and had not lost at home all year.

THEN, we beat the worst team. Kind of paints a different picture then what your seeing. Don't you want to loose to the worst team to get more balls ?

Thanks for the classy post. NY's minutes are spotty and he's been streaky lately. Mike James has been a pleasent surprise. With that said, good sir, could I get you to post some pics of Rockets cheerleaders? Particularly the top 10%. It's sort of a game thread tradition.

Hit their stride ? You mean by going 1-2 over the last 3 games betting Utah in double over time ?

Or you mean because they don't know from game to game if McGrady will suit up or if he will give a dame?

These guys are ripe for the picking. Hopefully we see some twin towers on Ming. Take him out and it's ours.

ivan carter says mcgrady and battier are starting. no mention of whether or not artest will come off hte bench or be inactive.

also had this tidbit: -Ed Tapscott on Butler about an hour before the game: "He said he wants to go but I advised him: 'don't be a hero.' I don't want him to turn a two or three game thing into a 10-game thing. So, if it's good, fine. If not, get it healthy."

As much as I want to see Caron play tonight, I love to hear this. We all know Eddie Jordan would have Caron playing, and this would have just been the start of the constant Caron Butler DTD injury. Looks like our medical staff has actually changed their philosophy.

Sounds like we just have one guy being the voice of reason - Tapscott. I'm sure the medical staff gave Butler some Asprin and said "go get 'em, tiger".

First he benches DeBrick and now he stands up to Butler. Could Tapscott be getting it?

Caron Out, T-Mac In
http://voices.washingtonpost.com/wizardsinsider/

Caron out will create a lot of mismatches defensively; ala Battier and Artest

It's not the medical staff, it's the HEAD COACH.
