Miller will continue to struggle in Minnesota because they have no point guard. Foye is an in-between player, more of a SG than a PG. Minnesota needs a point guard in the worst way. Im not sure if this trade makes sense but:
Dallas receives Mike Miller, Cardinal, and Corey Brewer
Minnesota receives Howard and Stackhouse

This is basically Howard for Miller and Brewer.
Which would be Howard for Miller as Brewer is listed as out for the season torn right ACL.

You could substitute Madsen:
Dallas receives Miller, Cardinal, and Madsen
Minnesota receives Howard and Stackhouse

I think the Mavs would hold off on a trade like this anyways because of their 17-5 record since their 2-7 start. Stackhouse will be traded but everyone else will depend on the Mavs record in 7 weeks when the trade deadline is here. Im still wondering if Cuban would sign Marbury with the recent play of Barea?

When Miller played for Memphis his numbers were similar to Howard's. I agree that Howard is a little better, but is Howard going to play inspired ball for the Mavs everynight? How many rebounds did he have last night? He's 6'7" and all he can get is one freaking rebound? You have probably never payed attention to Miller's numbers so you dont have a clue. Im just saying, I want more from J-Ho everynight, not just when Dirk's injured.

Miller has never and will never be as good as Howard in the overall game. Same is true about Howard never being as good of a spot up jumpshooter like Miller.

Howard has become a jumpshooter the last couple of years though. He will take it to the hoop occasionally, but he is starting to rely more and more on his jumpshot. He didn't shoot a single free throw against Minnesota. Howard is a better defender and is more athletic. Miller is a better passer and shooter. They both will grab about 5 or 6 rebounds a game. I question Howard's heart, I don't question Miller's.

if you need a cap filler take McCants. our franchise still has high hopes on Brewer while McCants is showing his real face: a chucker. he's on an expiring contract as well unlike Brewer who has at least 2 years remaining on his contract.

Return to Dallas Mavericks
