Say good bye to ZBS in Denver

Post#1 » by MajorDad » Tue Dec 30, 2008 10:54 pm

to those of you who love the Zone blocking scheme ZBS, it has one less supporter today. good bye ZBS in Denver.

it ma y sound like a great blocking scheme, but the end results are wins.

I think Denvers ' past success had more to do with Elway and Denver playing weak opponents than it did with the benefits of the ZBS.

Staton and grant may have benefited from their teams employing the ZBS, but their teams ' overall win records did not.

say what you want about the ZBS, but it has few Gms clamoring to implement it for their teams. I may be a total idiot and sometimes jerk but bill Parcells is not!

line up your excuses now and blame it on injuries. The ZBS caused all those injuries to both running backs and offensive linemen.

Uleash the beast that is the ZBS and return to the three R's and BAck to basics blocking!

He is fired because he went through a number of defensive coordinators who suck, ironically ran the same crappy scheme that Sanders does....but go ahead and feed your silly agenda....I am sure it is because of Denvers offense.... :noway:

The Denver Broncos ranked 3rd in the NFL in average rushing yards per attempt, despite not having a single runningback rush for more than 350 yards on the season. In that backfield were such legends as:

Michael Pittman
Selvin Young
Peyton Hillis
Tatum Bell
Andre Hall
Ryan Torain
PJ Pope

THIRD!!!

Reed, please...just stop.
