this move was needed...the jets just were out coached in the last 3 weeks and seem ill-prepared...tat falls on the HC of the team

The QB threw 2 TD's and 7 INT's the last three games. Not much a coach can do when that happens other than bench the QB.

However I would be curious as to what type of role he would accept. I dont buy the Cowher talk at all, but I do want a first time coach that is a defensive dude. Bring in a new offensive coordinator, one that actually utilizes his players. Mangini is not the only problem, but he sure was one of em.

Isn't that who you just fired?

Fun fact: Favre is older than Mangini.

Essentially but he had no passion. Im talking the likes of a Rex Ryan, Steve Spagnuolo someone in that mold. Since we are a 3-4 team and have been making moves for that, Id like to stick with the 3-4 so that would take Steve out. Heck Id give Dick Lebeau another chance at head coach.

Though if we could get a Cowher, Shanahan or a Parcells, you cant argue with that. I just would hate it if we ended up with a Billick, Schottenheimer or someone like that.
