Tyson Chandler Available?
There are rumors going around that Chandler could be dealt for Rasheed Wallace. Is there a package we could put together to get him. He would be ideal C to have paired with either Jefferson or Love. Chandler needs a good PG to to be an effective scorer, so maybe that is something we can look at through trade or the draft.

Re: Tyson Chandler Available?
I would trade something around Love or even Miller to get Chandler
I don't know the numbers but
Miller, Love, Collins for Chandler and Julian Wright
I just don't see why they would trade Tyson, he works so well in their system

Re: Tyson Chandler Available?
Mike Miller would help that team out a lot. I always thought he'd be best suited for a contender anyway.
I'd even think about throwing in Kevin Love too, even though I don't really see Kevin Love as "throw in."
Would Chandler be worth the #3 pick in the 2008 draft?

I don't know about that. I think Miller would give them another three point threat that the team needs and Collins would help them out on the defensive end against big players like Shaq and Bynum.

I think they already shoot the 3 well, but Im to lazy to look. Paul + Peja + miller with no chandler to backup the rim is a recipe for disaster.

Chandler is great on defense but is rather nonexistent on the offensive end UNLESS you have Chris Paul or another top true pg on your team.

Ditto. I'm all for Chandler even if it cost both Miller and Love.

Also, if NOH wants Rasheed (I wouldn't do that trade, btw), its possible but unliekly we may be able to give DET rebuilding pieces in exchange for Chandler in a three-way. People question the Billups-Iverson trade, but it gives DET the chance for a quick rebuild. I'm used to thinking of DET as a contender, but they are 5th in the east, and I think clearly behind BOS and CLE in personnel.

Re: Tyson Chandler Available?
I think the Hornets are looking for something that can help them beat the lakers, and the one advatage the lakers have over everyone else is size, so I can't see any reason for them to deal chandler without getting a really good big back, especially with an undersized david west at PF, and rasheed wallace doesn't fit the bill.
Chandler is overrated, for a guy his size and length he doesn't block many shots, and he can be overpowered by stronger players. His offensive game is basically getting lobs from CP3. He rebounds like a vacuum and can alter shots though. I'd take him for miller straight up. I think the hornets would have little to no use for kevin love. We might be able to get something for ollie and/or collins though. They did sell their 1st round pick last year.

Re: Tyson Chandler Available?
Trading Miller & Love for Chandler seems a no-brainer to me from the Wolves perspective. They don't need an offensive player in the low-post next to Al, just someone who can clean up offensive rebounds and play solid defense. He would dramatically improve the team by allowing Al to move to the weaker opposing player on defense as well.

Re: Tyson Chandler Available?
I was just curious what you guys that have watched Chandler think of this piece of analysis from the Piston's board?
Panty Raider wrote:In just under 32 minutes per game Chandler is giving the Hornets 1.57 blocks per game (up from a mere 1.06 last season) and fewer than 5 defensive rebounds per game (4.7 to be exact). The notion of him being this defensive big is getting out of hand. What he is is an outstanding offensive rebounder (perhaps the best in the league) and a mobile player with length. His individual defense is Marcus Camby like, which is not meant as a compliment. His weak side defense on the other hand is not in the same league as Marcus Camby. The strength of his defense is probably his mobility in screen roll and closing out to shooters. In that area he will be an improvement to Rasheed but overall I would rate Rasheed a better defender.
