that should be kroenke's new year resolution, to see how this team does with an actual coach.
So is anyone else a little worried about melo's play this season? i know theres the injury and everything and it is definitely holding him back scoring wise, but he has just been playing worse and worse and his days of been mr consistent same like forever ago.
honestly, i thought with a real pg like billups, the floor being spread by a much better 3pt shooting team and better shooting team overall, would bring back the mvp level of play we saw out of melo before the AI trade. now i just watch melo and see him forcing and playing inefficiently overall. hes had some great performances this year, like the minny game or last game agasint the knicks (but that is the worst defense in the league) but hes not shown up for a lot of games and i feel like JR, Billups, and Nene have "won" more games than our star player.
so is anyone else starting to get worried about this and wonder if hes going to actually come out of this? is the injury really that bad that is causes him to turnover the ball a lot, drive clumsily to the basket, and make bad decisions offensively? after seeing a thread about Melo vs Granger on the player comparison board, i thought it was ridiculous...but at this point, hes playing at a higher level of melo and doing it with a worse team around him. in no way am i saying i would rather have granger than melo, i just dont see how this injury can be the cause of his bad play all around (props to him trying on d and rebounding better..the first 20 games) anyone else starting to wonder if our star player will actually come out of this slump and emerge as a star player? or is he going to become more and more overshadowed by new and upcoming players as the season goes on?
