OT: Ranking off season deals.

Post#1 » by NashtyNas » Wed Dec 31, 2008 6:31 pm

http://www.nba.com/2008/news/features/d ... index.html

Corey Maggette was the stupidest apparently. Also includes some in season move's, including the Suns acquiring J-Rich (3rd on the list).
What surprises me is the fact that Matt Barnes is not a part of the Off season moves top 5 but Dahntay Jones (What?!) and Chris Andersen are....... :roll:

Camby's been BEAST for LAC since Kaman went down...24 rebounds the other night!? madness

Barnes>Jones

Though Jones is a decent player...hell of an athlete

Yeah, excellent point Tastic, forgot about Camby. Wonder how (Please Use More Appropriate Word) the writer of that article was. I LOL at the fact that DAHNTAY JONES and CHRIS ANDERSEN make it over Camby & Barnes. I think this guy is surely a nuggets fan :P

Barnes is gotta be top 2 if you put all the variables together. His contribution, his contract, his 3pt shooting, his fearless defense etc.

I love Barnes' hustle...but I get the feeling he's going to do something dumb in the playoffs like lash out or foul someone over the top hard, and it'll cost us...There's a fine line he walks

Matt Barnes is gonna get paid next summer too.

Hell, Amudson may be a top 10 pickup if you take into account his PER and stat increase from last season.

From Hollinger's rankings

2008-09 outlook: Amundson signed a two-year deal for the minimum with Phoenix, where he'll be the fifth big man and likely spend many nights seated behind the bench in a comfortable pair of slacks.

===
07-08 PER: 7.59
08-09 PER: 16.37
