Good for him, he left on top, but sucks for us. After Deke signed with Houston, Brown was my first choice. Here's to hoping we can bring in Mourning or Smith.

The odd thing is that he didn't show up to pick up his ring.

Basically, he sounds like somebody who's caving to family pressure to stay home, which is not an unreasonable decision after many years of his family's schedule revolving around his career.

Ainge did the same thing, basically, when he walked out on his coaching career.
