Spurs popularity worldwide

Post#1 » by Magz50 » Thu Dec 11, 2008 7:29 pm

Just looking at the early results for all star voting and it suprised me how well the Spurs are doing. Duncan leads all forwards in voting naturally. Then Bruce Bowen is 7th! lol

Guards Manu is 4th and Parker is 6th.

Good to see us getting some love from the rest of the world!

Makes sense with all our International players. We always seem to do well in the International TV ratings as well.

After the 2004 olympics Manu was bigger than soccer stars in Argentina which is kinda a big deal over there, i can't see the appeal of soccer myself.
So Manu gets plently of love overseas.

I'm loving the fact that Bruce Bowen is getting so many votes, it's about time the fans appreciate what he brings to the game.

*insert generic anti-spurs PHX hate*
There you go suns fans, you can all leave now and cream yourselves over JRich.
It is nice to see that while Bowen has no offensive game outside the corner three, people out there are giving him props for being a consistant defender.

Well I am still voting for Yi...

Anyways it is no surprise that some of our players are getting as many votes as they have.

I am just surprised that after so many years TD is still selected as a starter despite being um... boring.
