Per wiretap: Seven players being shopped

Post#1 » by MaryvalesFinest » Thu Jan 1, 2009 11:37 pm

Three NBA executives say that the Golden State Warriors are pushing Corey Maggette hard in trade talks.

Other players that executives say are available include Samuel Dalembert, Raymond Felton, Adam Morrison, Drew Gooden, Larry Hughes, and Brad Miller.

Anyone from this list you think the Suns should go after?

Yeah Felton would have been great but the Suns already made a trade with the Bobcats so I doubt another one happens. It would be interesting to see a Barbosa and Tucker or Dragic for Maggette and Marcus Williams swap though.

Although, I'm not remembering which teams, I think BOS and MIN did multiple trades pretty frequently for a while there.. Was it them?

It makes sense, I've thought since the draft that CHA would shop Felton as soon as they experimented with DJ Augustin. Felton would be a great backup here, I wouldn't even rule out the possibility that if we got him he could be an eventual Nash replacement. Think they would do Barbie for Felton straight up?

Felton looks like Tupac.

EDIT: and played at UNC

Done.

NY has to send a pick to CHA I think, and we send a 2nd to CHA also

PHX get:
Felton
Tim Thomas

NY get:
GWallace
Barbosa

CHA get:
ECurry
Dragic
Tucker
Roberson
2x 2nd rounders
Cash

Nice rotation

Shaq / Rolo
Amare / TT
Hill / Dudley
JRich / Barnes
Nash / Felton

CHA would pass, cos I think they can get more and WHY would anyone want Curry...but a frontline of Curry/Okafor/Diaw has some legit size, especially if he turns up weighing less than The Big Show.
NY does it for obvious reasons...Even though they lose a DA favourite, they get HUGE talent back and GWallace would be DA's new Marion...
Suns do it to add another veteran in TT, and some more speed/youth/athleticism in Felton, and someone who has potential to be Nash's successor.

Of course this would mean Hell would freeze over as they'd be moving the Star Child Dragic...
