As for your question, I think he won't be a legit starting QB compared to Carson Palmer, but he will be a good starting QB. If he comes out this draft I see him as a 2nd rounder at best and 3rd rounder at worst. He is better than John David Booty.

This is about right. He makes better decisions than Booty does but he's just not as skilled as Palmer is. He has off the field issues (sexual assault suspension, injuries) that will hamper his stock also. You groom a guy like this to be a starter.
