we'r leading the northwest with the helps of him with his injured elbow. Not all the fans knows about his situation but we as nuggets fans have to vote for him daily. its already disgusting to see duncan starting so lets not make it even worse with amare on the lineup because things would get worse if he doesnt start. this leauge had shown everytime that melo is not a coaches favourite guy

"remember how many time he wasnt there when he was deserving it at 2005 and 2006."

I wouldn't go that far, the man has been trying to play through an injury throughout the season. That being said there is no way I am voting for him, I want him to sit his ass at home and get some rest that weekend.

win win situation.

If Melo gets in, then it's always nice to have a Nugget in the all-star game.

If Melo doesn't get in, he at least gets to rest his sore elbow for a few days.

Melo has to make the ASG, no way he won't make it.

Western Conference

Forwards: Tim Duncan (SA) 1,454,918; Carmelo Anthony (Den) 905,121; Amare Stoudemire (Pho) 894,690; Ron Artest (Hou) 890,992; Dirk Nowitzki (Dal) 837,482; Pau Gasol (LAL) 618,943; Bruce Bowen (SA) 509,593; Shane Battier (Hou) 482,724; Luis Scola (Hou) 281,372; Josh Howard (Dal) 255,698; LaMarcus Aldridge (Por) 212,651

That's a razor thin margin. One has to think that Amare makes that up in the next few weeks with Melo out. Nice to see him get back to the top 2 though. Chauncey doesn't even make the list for Western guards.

Guards: Kobe Bryant (LAL) 1,903,798; Tracy McGrady (Hou) 1,216,224; Chris Paul (NO) 1,059,161; Manu Ginobili (SA) 669,837; Tony Parker (SA) 614,939; Jamal Crawford (GS) 462,039; Steve Nash (Pho) 441,746; Jason Kidd (Dal) 381,906; Rafer Alston (Hou) 372,130; Jason Terry (Dal) 323,279; Brandon Roy (Por) 267,053.

No room with superstars like Rafer earning their spots on there. No surprise though, Chauncey's always been a guy who coaches will lean toward though - he's a winner.

i don't mind melo sitting out. needs the extra rest for his hand/elbow, and he'd probably play more aggressively for the second half of the season.

Melo moves up in All-Star vote

With one more balloting return left, Nuggets forward Carmelo Anthony has moved into a starting position for the Western Conference All-Star team. With 905,121 votes, Anthony trails only San Antonio's Tim Duncan (1,454,918) among forwards.

"That's good, man. That's a good sign," Anthony said. "Obviously I'm doing something good, obviously the team is doing something good. I wouldn't be out there if the fans didn't like me."

Anthony started last year's All-Star game as well, his first All-Star start as a pro. Despite his current hand injury and persistent elbow soreness, Anthony insisted he'd play in this year's game.

"I'm pretty sure I'll be back way before then," he said.

Anthony is averaging 21.1 points and 7.3 rebounds this season.

you know, I wonder how many 10+ rebound games Melo has had this year

his average is still a little low, but he is having more and more big rebound games
