Do you know why he is the 1st option this year? Because nobody else on the team can score. Sure its easy to take him out, pack the paint, when the rest of your team is busy building a house or scared to drive to the paint.
Trust me i hate Yao too (mentally weak), but you don't get rid a Top 3 center in the league, just because the rest of your team can't pick it up. If anything, if we traded T-mac for billups and Prince, Rockets would be balling.
If T-mac actually played 50%, alot of those losses would of been wins.
I'm not blaming Yao at all, like I said he's been the best player for the rockets this season and I appreciate the effort that he gives every game. However, if we trade Tmac for peanuts like some ppl are suggesting then we might as well trade Yao and rebuild because he won't be leading us anywhere other than a first round exit with this current roster.
Being a top 3 center in the NBA today isn't really impressive at all. I've been watching Dwight Howard (most ppl consider him to be the top center) play a lot recently and his game doesn't impress me much either.
You'll be singing a different tune if it was D-Wade and Yao
Its been proven when both are healthy the Rockets are damn good. I don't even know what their Record is when a healthy T-mac and Yao play together. Problem is they are never healthy enough together, especially going into the playoffs.
That one year, when we had T-mac and Yao against Dallas, i refuse to acknowledge we lost that playoff fair, since its been discovered that some foul play was involved.
Than in the Utah series with t-mac and Yao, i believe Yao just came back from a fracture?? So he wasn't exactly healthy in the playoffs.
But this year, i can't except T-mac's attitude, if the guy is injured, than sit and don't come back. If we think its Ric who won't allow him to sit, than its Ric fault. But somebody needs to do something now, we can't have this version of T-mac playing for the whole season.
