Yi Jianlian catching up to KG in ALL-STAR Voting!!!

Post#1 » by KRCA » Sat Jan 3, 2009 1:08 am

This is kinda funny lol

I would much rather see Yi at the all-star game starting line-up instead of Garnett. I use to have much respect for Garnett and he was my favourite player but now I cant stand him. He has no class at all...taunting, harassing and pushing smaller players than him.... and somehow they are all white players too.

Send Yi to the all-star game.

On behalf of Celtic Nation, I approve this message. We too, would like to see Yi start over KG. In addition, we would also like to see Paul Pierce and Ray Allen left off the squad as well. Make sure you vote every non-Celtic onto the team. It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Both of you guys must have gotten lost.................who the hell cares about the East ALL-STAR team here on the Laker board ?

I hope this gets the Phil lock.

Don't be so narrow-minded dude. This a real NBA basketball question.

It seems that any Chinese player who starts for a team WILL start in the all-star game. Hell they don't even have to start, they just have to projected starters (on the ballot).

There are WAY too many people in China for it to go any other way.

Is this fair?

If Sun Yue is a starting guard for OKC next year and takes Kobe's starting spot what will you say then?

AC Green taking Karl Malone's starting spot years ago was one thing but Sun Yue or Yi starting is a whole new can of worms.

Let us know when there's a way to vote the KG out of the playoffs and then post a thread.

You seem to be confusing the Center spot (which only 1 can win for each conference) vs the guards and forwards. People vote for two guards on the All-Star ballot, so even if Sun Yue received more votes than Kobe (which I don't think will ever happen) Kobe still can win a spot.

Yao and Yi are also both Superstars in China, way more popular than Sun Yue. Kobe is also way more popular than Sun Yue, including in China.

Therefore, Kobe will not lose his spot to Sun Yue in the All-star game.

The problem isn't Yi beating out KG as a starter, Bosh should start over KG anyway, the problem is that it would mean that a more deserving player would end up losing an AS spot to Yi.

Pierce shouldn't be on the AS team, LeBron, Granger, and Caron Butler are all having a better year than the self proclaimed best player in the world.

Yep, that would be great. It would give KG more motivation to pick fights with foreign point guards.
