The last play was actually one of the only things the Hawks did right in the 2nd half. If I was up 1 I would gladly let the other team take a three pointer-especially one that's from 4-5 feet behind the line. That was an extremely low percentage(and lucky)shot.

Vince had like two game-winners against Toronto exactly like that one last year, and I've seen him hit that shot many other times as well.

Nothing lucky about that shot.

hopefully the hawks will learn not to play down to their competition, there was no reason the nets should have been back in this game, their threes were wide open and any decent NBA player should have been able to make them.

this was a team loss plain and simple.

they haven't learned it by now. They always play down to their competition, that's why they have to fight to win every game no matter who they play. It doesn't help that our starters are run into the ground, while Acie and Solo get DNP's.

I just hope a loss like this doesn't start a losing streak. We get Houston tonight, who got destroyed by the Raptors last night somehow. Take care of business tonight at home, and get back on track.

josh smith should've been benched at some point in the 4th quarter. He played absolutely terrible. Kept thinking that his red hot jumper was gonna stop their run. TURNOVER TURNOVER TURNOVER. And who doesn't contest a game winner by Vince Carter?(although it seems all their 3s went uncontested) Shot was up before a hand was in his face.

This is why it's tough to be too happy with the Hawks record....they are still a dumb team that has no idea how to play 48 minutes of smart/focused basketball. I also hope this is the last game we have to play New Jersey this year..they play out of their minds vs us for some reason.

That is exactly how i see it. The Hawks have been making dumb mistakes on offense all year. They have done a crappy job boxing out all year. Tonight it cost them the game, just like it did when they were playing the Texas Triangle. They played like a bunch of idiots and they didn't get bailed out by hot 3 pt shooting like usual.

Smith, Zaza and Horford combined for 11 turnovers. That is just a joke.

I didn't see the game last night. But despite our record, we clearly haven't quite turned the corner yet. We continue to let teams back into games but have been able to get out of those situations relatively unscathed until last night.

And no more of this "young team" crap. We have plenty of experience at this point and there is simply no excuse to blow a game like that.

I hope these guys can learn from this and realize that when you've got someone on the ropes you need to knock them out. Hopefully we'll look back at this game as a turning point down the line.
