Anyone want Maggette??
Title says it all. As far as we're concerned he can be had for a bag of chips and a hot dog. So anyone want him and what could you offer? (Seriously, we'd almost accept anything at all)

We have no use for him here, and the awful contract that he comes with doesn't help either.

No self-respecting team. Thunder maybe? No, probably not them either.

No he will kill the flow of our offense. Once he gets the ball, all he can see is the rim and nothing else...
But one thing I like about him is his ability to get to the stripe... when the offense struggles, that can come very handy but aside of that he can be a liability on all other aspects.

It wouldn't work with AI on the team. But with Billups I think Maggette goes on the list of available wings that you consider. Maggette has led the league in free throw attempts before. That's a good thing. He really is just getting his right now (at least that's what I see), but I've seen enough of him over the years to think he'll blend in (even if it means starting JR and bringing him off the bench). I could see a three team deal with Denver, Golden State, and New Jersey where the Nuggets get back Maggette and Sean Williams and give up Hunter, Atkins, and Kleiza. But there are wings on a lot of teams that should be considered (including the bulls and t-wolves).
I appreciate how hard Dahntay Jones works and am impressed with what he's been able to do, but even with that in mind the Nuggets still need to get better. Might as well make this the year of trades.

Maggette doesn't put us over the top, so the FO is not going to add salary. We need post players, not wings.

Beemaster,
That's kind of the point. What one post player on the block will put us over the top? We've got expiring deals, kleiza, draft picks, and a trade exception. enough pieces to add both a quality post player and wing during the season and over the summer when they are more likely to use the trade exception.

I'd rather resign Kenyon to the same contract for 3 more years.

Re: Anyone want Maggette??
we already have a plethora of wing men, i dont know if he would be a good fit
is a defensive liability?
if we dont have to give up too much for him, i would like to have him and make him come off the bench

Another unneeded expense that the Nuggets are not going to add. Unless they are getting a solid to good big, then they are not going to do anything.

Not sure the bag of chips and hot dog will balance out in the Real-GM trade machine. Might have to add a soda in there.
put the ball in the basket like this
