Re: The Official Bring Back JVG Bandwagon.
The people that want him back are probably the same people that called for him to get fired LOL. Give me a break. JVG won't come back, and I doubt Adelman will get fired. Tmac is the #1 scapegoat, and he should be.

chance with what? with wesley, bowen and padgett? if we could replace those with scola, landry and artest they've would've been in WCF by then! and possibly in the finals!

its ok to break some rules once in a while...

scola, landry, and artest? the thing is we wouldnt have those players if jvg was here. if JVG here, we would have never swung the deal for scola. van gundy would have pushed morey into bringing charles oakley or anthony mason out of retirement. we wouldnt have drafted landry, jvg would have pushed morey into drafting ryan bowens little brother. and with no adelman, artest doesnt come here. we would be stuck with just barry and head as the backups

and its so unfair to blame adelman for t-macs faults. he can design the perfect play, give the perfect motivational speech, and design the perfect defense, and with all that, t-mac is still going to be a p*ssy. it doesnt matter who coaches t-mac or where he plays, he has never given effort. now that he is paid, hes done. it doesnt matter whos coaching him. t-macs a p*ssy, and no coach in the world can make him grow a heart. no coach in the world can make yao un-goofy, slow as hell, and not dumb.

Re: The Official Bring Back JVG Bandwagon.
You guys are forgetting that the GM makes these transactions; NOT the head coach. If you ever had a problem with Wesley, Padgett, and Ryan Bowen, JVG is the wrong guy to blame. Point those fingers at Mr. Carroll Dawson because he acquired all those players. Why blame JVG for making the best out of his roster? I'm thankful that JVG never gave up on this talent-less team and I applaud him for being able to utilize scrubs like Bob Sura, Jon Barry, Ryan "The German-ator" Bowen and put up a good fight against the Mavs in '05.
That's not true. JVG didn't want to give V-Span playing time and as a result Greek Mac started crying and wanted to go home. Our current GM made a smart decision to ship his ass out and get something in return. RC Buford, as much as I respect him, was stupid enough to give up on Scola and accept Morey's offer.
JVG and Scola would have gotten along just fine, and Jon Barry retired long before JVG got fired.

JVG whenever has commentated a Rocket game, or any game for that matter, LOVES the Rockets roster as a whole. He never had the offensive talent we had now, I really wonder how we'd fair with Van Gundy at the helm rather than Adelman. Anyway, there's really no point in even talking about this, Adelman wont be fired this season and Van Gundy wont come back.

Get Jeff on board NOW! ASAP!
The thing that impresses me most about Jeff is he can work under pressure, and EXPRESSES (Screams) effort into the players' heads. He would have loved to work with Scola, although I don't think we'd be seeing Brooks and Landry develop, along with Von. I'd really love to see what he can do with this kind of talent, it'd be unreal....bring him on board!
Although we should give Rick a little more time, I think we're all just a little frustrated.

Re: The Official Bring Back JVG Bandwagon.
I think the main difference between Adelman and JVG and what you have seen over the last few games is that Adelman just doesn't (can't?) coach defense. JVG would have guys like Wafer, Barry etc just playing defense and taking up the slack left by Artest and Battier. Instead Adelman relies heavily on two guys whose specialty is defense. What I am trying to say is that he doesn't coach these other guys up to play d. Our d is only good when Artest and Battier are healthy. And thats what makes it evident that Adelman just doesn't instill the focus defensively that JVG did.
We obviously made a mistake firing JVG. The talent and injuries he had to work with just doomed. And yea he had his flaws but at the end of the day it was McGrady didn't take over game 6 of the Jazz series. Its inconsistent shooters like Sura, Wesley and Yao's poor games 3-6 that doomed the Mavs series. We won't be getting JVG back but I think the next coaching hire isn't gonna be until 2010 when the personnel part of the team is straightened out. So we can hope they turn it around this year. Maybe hope they get rid of Alston but I think Adelman will be back next season.

And JVG would have benched Rafer by now.

BLOODY (#%&( HELL. YOU PEOPLE ARE ABSOLUTELY SCHIZOPHRENIC. IT'S LIKE ARGUING WITH A SWINGSET
How is it... that in at least two years... you don't understand that there is a difference between "coach", "gm", and "owner"? It's not hard.
